I wish I could give you a sneak preview, like the trailer I made for it, but alas.

Is there something you would've liked to see Jackie and Hyde do before the events of "Jackie Bag Hyde"?

That's okay Lisa, but I will enjoy it when I can read it.

You're so sweet. And if everything goes smoothly, you'll have at least a short J/H fic from me soonish.

In case you -- or anyone -- missed it -- there's some nice Zen in this diary entry of Hyde's.

Is this what you wrote down after the Incident? 'Cause I am curious how that turned out.

Yup.

Me, too. Love when we get (what I consider) canon Zennie!info from them. Hyde went from mocking Jackie's, "Steven!" to liking that she calls him that.

Yeah, I enjoyed the diary entry too. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but he specifically said he liked Jackie calling him Steven, whereas with Kitty it was just "cool".

I love hearing Hyde's thoughts about Jackie calling him Steven.

Yeah, one's an active enjoyment, and the other's more of a passive acceptance.

Colleen, the diary entries are what convinced me that what we see of J/H's relationship on-screen is only the beginning of how far their connection and understanding of each other goes. We get on-screen confirmation of this during "Bring It On Home" and "Magic Bus".

That's great that you found them. Their connection really did go deep, we have clearly seen that.

Which is why certain episodes & scenes in S6 and S7 are so frustratingly OOC.

I all wonder what it would have been like if Jackie and Hyde's relationship had been with S1-S5 era quality, because S6 & S7 are really disappointing. There are plenty of great Zen moments in those seasons but nothing good in terms of actual storylines. *sigh* At least we have S5.

Except for the nurse incident.

Had the quality of writing for Jackie and Hyde's relationship continued at a S5-level (minus the nurse incident ), I think we would've seen both characters evolving in both surprising and satisfying ways (and very much how I have been and will continue to write them in the comics ). Hyde would've been utterly supportive of Jackie once her mom came back to town -- and not after "three months," as the writer retconned, but after an almost year-long absence. I want to say how that storyline would've affected J/H, but then I'd be spoiling for the comics.

 Whoever wrote the nurse incident wasn't a good person, huh?
