 But, yeah, it would've been nice to see Fez evolve as a character instead of devolve. __________________

Yeah. Like his inner life beyond candy and being perpetually horny <-- which I wish they would've let him grow out of. Rhonda should've stayed. They should've been happy together in all ways, and then we could've gotten to explore different things about Fez, and he wouldn't have become a punchline/punchline-giver.

I may have liked him more if they did that. Not that I disliked him, I just wasn't that invested in him.

Definitely, a character having layers makes them more interesting to the viewer and sadly Fez wasn't given many layers by the writers.

Fez was shown to be quite smart and talented. He was in Honors English. He convinced the manager of The Hub to get rid of the pinball machine Kelso had invested in and replace it with Space Invaders -- as revenge against Kelso's insults. He's a good dancer. He's a poet. He can sew/tailor an outfit. He gave Red a good cooking tip (about preventing water from boiling over), which indicates he knows how to cook. These are all character traits that could've been explored in more detail.

I would have liked to see more of Fez's academic life. He did seem pretty smart. It might give us insight into what he would have wanted to do more as a career.
