During the full scene where those .gifs are taken from, MK doesn't seem like she's acting. It seems like she'd messed up a dancing move, laughed, and apologized, and the director kept it in because it looked natural. Her part was in the background while Natalie Portman was in the foreground, which is why that could work.

Of course, I say this without having seen the movie (just a few clips).

I have only a small idea what MK's character is like.

Well in the scene, I think she was *supposed* to mess up and laugh it off. It was supposed to show the contrast between Mila's character Lily and Natalie Portman's Nina. If Nina messed up a move, she would have freaked out because her character's neurotic and quite a control freak. But Lily laughs it off because she's a free spirit.

Or who knows? You might be right though that the scene was just something real that the director kept it in because it was natural. It does look that way. Or maybe the scene was intended and MK's acting was just so good that it has us puzzled. This just adds to the opinion some have that she was robbed an Oscar nomination for it.

Adding onto this, was there a reason for it that I don't remember? And Colleen, is there a reason you haven't seen it yet?

I absolutely agree with what you said, Furiosity. It shows the drastic difference between the two women in the film, whether it was in the script or not.

I believe Colleen has seen the movie. She said she hasn't seen it "in awhile". I haven't either, but I like the movie.
