I’m going to start drinking coffee. But not the way Donna does it...

Dear Diary,

I’m going to start drinking coffee. But not the way Donna does it, slurping it out of a mug to stay awake. I’ll drink it out of a nice china cup with a matching saucer, maybe with unicorns on it. Plus, I’m going to drink it because it’s something sophisticated to do after dinner, according to Cosmo anyway. They also say, “Lingering over java with your mate is a good way to enhance intimacy.” I think coffee’s really going to change my life.

Okay, diary, here goes my next step toward adulthood. My first sip of coffee.

Gross, gross, gross!!! I almost just barfed on my favorite rainbow pillow. How can anyone drink that?! It tastes like how the inside of Hyde’s car smells. What am I going to do? I can’t embarrass my future husband by not drinking coffee with everyone else after a big political dinner. Not to mention, there’s no way I’m going to let Donna be more sophisticated than me. She’s such a freak she probably actually likes it. ... Maybe I can just take packets of Swiss Miss with me everywhere I go. That might help me gag it down.

Oh, well, I don’t like beer, but I manage to drink that. I guess I can just pretend to like coffee, too.

PS: Cosmo also suggested I “clean out a drawer and fill it with rose petals.” Clean? Sorry, Cosmo, other people clean my drawers for me. I’m switching to Vogue.

Jackie's Diary Entry: #5

Jackie dreams of something exciting and new!

Dear Diary,

I’m so excited! I finally figured out the perfect birthday present for Michael to get me! A trip on The Love Boat! I can see it now ... everyone on the ship will lust after me when I lay out in my bikini on the Lido Deck. Julie McCoy will be totally jealous over my perfect body while Isaac brings me daiquiris and Lee Majors (who happens to be sailing that week) admires me from afar.

Then, one night when Michael and I are dining at the Captain’s table and Charo is doing her cuchi-cuchi thing, out of nowhere Lee Majors rushes in and confesses his love for me. Lee and Michael get into a huge fight! (The kind where they throw themselves on people’s tables and food flies everywhere. That’s a true test of love!) Captain Stubing and Gopher will have to break up the fight.

This, of course, will be my big dramatic moment: "I can’t take you two fighting over me!" Then I will fall dramatically into a chair and pass out. Adam, the ship’s doctor, will wake me with smelling salts. And when I finally come to, I’ll thank Michael for three wonderful yet annoying years. Then Lee Majors will pick me up and kiss me (in one of those twirly shots when the two people fall in love). Then we’ll get married on the Promenade Deck and live happily ever after in his Hollywood mansion. The end!

This is going to be the best birthday present, ever! I can’t wait to tell Michael!

I'm like 95% sure that Mila just almost ran me over while I was crossing the street

I had the little walking guy so I started to cross and this car tried to turn right, saw me and immediately hit the break. I looked at the driver and was like, I think that's Mila! I ran back to my office to see if I could find photos of her car and she drives the same car that almost took me out
