The Red & Kitty Admiration Thread #1: 'Cause he sold his Corvette for her!
 

I know we had one of these before, but it seems to have fallen off the face of the earth. Yeah, I know, Red & Kitty aren't the couple of the show (i.e. Eric/Donna, Hyde/Jackie) - although I prefer them - but they're much too significant and adorable not to have their own thread.

So, I'll start with a cute little Red & Kitty scene, from Eric's Birthday, that I always get a kick out of. Eric & Donna are sharing a "moment" in the back porch after Donna's given him a candle, when they hear a crash. It's Red & Kitty returning from the Pinciotti's (Kitty's, well, drunk). And, as they're passing Eric & Donna ...

Kitty: "Oooohhhh, look at this. Ooohhh, we never thought to put a candle out here. Oh, it is just so romantic!"
Red: "Let?s keep moving, there?s nothing to see out here." (they go inside the house)
Eric: "Thanks, Dad."
Kitty: (from inside) "Oh, we have candles in the bedroom, don?t we?" (we hear Red & Kitty laugh) [img]smilies/glow.gif[/img]

C'mon Kryssi - and everyone else.

Oh man, EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. someone starts one of these, the FF server just happens to crash not long afterward. I even said that to Dana right before she created the last one and what happened a couple weeks later??? It's weird but don't be surprised if it happens soon. [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]

Okay. Kurtwood and Debra Jo have the best onscreen chemistry I've ever seen on a sitcom...reminds me of Rob and Laura on Dick Van Dyke. [img]smilies/sigh.gif[/img]

There are so many cute R/K moments I'm not sure where to begin at the moment, so pictures will just have to do for now. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

R/K are adorible, they should have their own thread. Though I loved them a lot more before Kitty changed.

Red and kitty are my heros. I love how they bicker about things, and are so funny. They have this love for each other that you just don't see anywhere else.

And you're so right about Kurtwood & Debra Jo; they have the most fabulous chemistry, I think, of any sitcom couple I've observed. It's refreshing to see a portrayal of an older and established couple who actually take delight in each other. Plus it's such an endearing combination: vivacious sweetheart and antisocial hardass.

See that's why I don't know if I like people comparing J/H to R/K. Even though at times I do see it, Jackie is not quite my idea of a "sweetheart" LOL...no offense to the fans. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

I loved the Kitty/Red interaction tonight. Just when I lost all hope of the eppy having anything funny, Red and Kitty have a scene [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

"Demanding Shrew"...yup that sums her up in this episode...Damn, if she's going to act like this, i wouldn't be suprised if Hyde gets fed up with it and tosses her out.

IA! How frickin' cute was it that Red left his frosty beer to go pick up a Ladies Home Journal for Kitty [img]smilies/in_love.gif[/img] ? I didn't care for Hyde/Jackie mimicking that, they're not Red & Kitty - partly because Jackie is more of a bitch than a sweetheart, no offense. Anyway, I loved Red calling Kitty "sweetheart" tonight ... so adorable [img]smilies/glow.gif[/img] .

Those two R/K moments are what prevented Acid Queen from ending up as #1 on my ***** list. [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]

I think my favorite interaction involves their bedroom scenes. [img]smilies/mischief.gif[/img] I adored Red's reaction to Kitty's "wanna show me your giblets" comment in the Thanksgiving show, like when he reached up behind him and pulled her down. SO cute. And of course when she woke him up on his birthday. That was really nice up until the roof caving in. [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img] Luckily they got to finish that scene later that night in the basement!
And there was last week's ep (forget the name [img]smilies/look.gif[/img] ) which had one of the best R/K moments - "Nurse Kitty is here to take care of you". [img]smilies/sigh.gif[/img]
