Jackie would go with Hyde so she could visit Donna, but she'd probably stay home on the weekends Donna was off working a big story. Seeing only Eric wouldn't be enough incentive for her to travel.

And yet Hyde would have no problem traveling to visit only Donna (since she's one of his best friends, too). I'd hope once E/D and J/H were married that their get-togethers wouldn't devolve into fighting/burn matches between Eric and Jackie.

I think their might be some burning still going on, but it would be more on a friendship level as they got older.

I'd hope so ... or maybe their dislike for each other would grow the more time they had to spend with each other. Then again, maybe time would mature the both of them.

Like or tolerate?

They'd have to find something in common beyond their mutual love for Hyde and Donna. Both of them wanting to be in committed relationships isn't really having something in common. It's such a general thing. Maybe they could go to a doll expo together. Donna and Hyde would be grateful neither of them had to go.

I don't know, part of me hopes that as they grew up they could become friends rather than just tolerate each other. They don't have anything in common, but who knows.

It's hard to tell because Eric was often so hostile toward Jackie (transferred sibling aggression when Laurie wasn't around), but despite of Jackie's physical/sexual disgust toward Eric, she did appreciate his treatment of Donna. I'm sure she also appreciated Eric's relationship with Hyde and how Eric saved him from being homeless.

They had an odd relationship, it was sibling like.

I'd like to have seen Jackie and Eric plan a party for Donna. Like Eric enlists Jackie's help. That could've been an interesting situation. Eric would probably let Jackie do all the work then try to take credit for as much of it as he could -- until Donna says she doesn't like the Jackie-chosen frou-frou decorations and food.

Donna [sniffing a canapé]: Eric, you should know me better than this by now.

Eric [putting up his hands]: I had nothing to do with it!

That would not sit well with Donna, either. And Donna's reaction would not sit well with Jackie. The insults she'd hurl at both of them ...

That's an episode we could've gotten in S7, too. Since Eric and Donna's wedding date was set for Donna's birthday (not a great idea, imo), and he skipped out on it, he'd have to make up for that the next year on her birthday -- big-time.

Eric might go to Hyde, Kelso, and Fez first for help, and they'd burn him. Then he'd go to Jackie and feel like he was making a deal with the devil.
