You have so many great fanfic ideas Lisa. I would read that if you ever wrote it. I'll read anything you write.

The fanfic idea I had back there was for the gang's honor to be tested (magical realism? maybe fantasy?). Kelso would fail miserably. Eric would become more aware of how he can be a jackass. Hyde would freak out after showing himself to be the most honorable of them all, and the gang would try to burn him. But then he'd realize -- and tell them -- that it just proves how much of a badass he is. He can still do good things and be naughty.

I really wish Eric would become aware of how he can be a jackass, especially to Donna. Maybe he can learn from that and improve himself.

And the gang except for Jackie would burn Hyde for being the most honorable. Jackie would probably brag about how great her boyfriend is and how they win everything.

This is why Donna has to be so strong with Eric (and a lot of T7S fans just don't understand it). If Donna wasn't strong, Eric's worse tendencies would take over, and he'd walk all over her. "Get Papa a soda." <--- Or something. Ugh. He was trying to prove to his friends that he "controlled" his woman. Glad Donna showed him that wasn't going to happen.

She totally would. She'd find his mixture of honorable and naughty hot.

Jackie wouldn't have taken well to Hyde being a jackass to her -- and even Hyde knew that. In "The Crunge," in Hyde's future fantasy of them, pot-bellied Hyde tells Jackie to get him another beer -- and she slaps him in the back of the neck.

Eric's early worried fantasies about himself and Donna painted Donna as the villain and Eric as the hapless, put-upon husband. "My body is eating its own hair!"

Eric could be a jerk sometimes and I'm glad Donna didn't put up with that. She wasn't gonna let some guy walk all over her.


That fantasy always makes me laugh.

Eric became a better man because of Donna's strength. He needed it on several levels.

Me, too. Donna's pretty vile in it, though.

I wonder how Hyde and Eric would imagine each other's friendship to be long in the future.

Eric did grow because of Donna's strength. I was glad he was able to do that.

I think Eric and Hyde are the type of friends that would always be friends.

I wonder, though, if Hyde would imagine himself getting cooler with age and Eric more geeky. That could've been a funny fantasy -- one Eric would have to counter.

If I could see anything in the future, it would be Eric's reaction to learning that Luke and Leia were brother and sister. Hyde would never let him hear the end of it.

That's so true. Eric would have to find some means of blackmailing Hyde into a treaty agreement. But before then, Hyde would ask if Eric ever felt "stirrings" for Laurie the way Luke did for his own sister.

Then again, Hyde was pro-Luke/Leia himself in "A New Hope".
