Top 5 Cuisines 1. Italian - So fine, yeah, pizza's on the top of that list and I'm sure some hardcore Italians are gonna roll their eyes at that, but eff that. I really, really love pizza especially the kind that's really well made with quality ingredients. Not that cheap-o greasy crap they sell in one huge slice... Italian food is great in general though, simply because of the ingredients they use regularly like tomatoes, pasta and stuff. 2. Chinese - SO MUCH GOODNESS! I sadly don't eat it often enough, but there are many dishes I love. Egg rolls, fried rice with chicken, chicken with peanutsauce... or fried bananas with honey for dessert, yum! Hjsdjasfdgjh man, I'm hungry. 3. American/Tex-Mex - I combined those two because over here they are often combined into one and served in the same place. Like wraps, burgers burritos, milkshakes, pancakes... 4. German - I am German, so we obviously ate many German dishes as well. For example home fries (???), Leberkäse with a side of beans or potato pancakes. Basically, I do love a lot of the things we do with potatoes. 5. French - I guess? I tried to think of things that I like to eat and there were some French dishes among them like baguettes, mousse au chocolat, quiches... so I'm gonna add French cuisine to the list since I can't think of a different fifth one anyway. Or not so alike... __________________

Great choices! I think all of our lists might be similar. Chinese and Italian will definitely be on mine.
Lulu, you're German? I did not know that. I'll make my list soon, I promise. I'm just very busy today. Last edited by MistyMountainHop; 03-24-2015 at 10:44 AM |

Oh wow, you didn't know that about me, that's right. I am indeed German, not the proudest one there is, but it could be worse.
Some cuisines are really hard to get to, especially if you're from a more town-like place like I am. So yeah, I can see all of our lists being pretty similar. __________________

Okay, here's my list finally.
Top 5 Cuisines 1. Italian-- There hasn't been an Italian dish I've tried and did not like. It's one of my favorites to cook as well. 2. Chinese--Another one we all seem to have in common. I get a lot of this when I'm working long hours at my store. This one place not far from it is really, really good. There are some good ones in downtown Chicago too of course. 3. Japanese-- Again, I work in Downtown Chicago and my store is located in the downtown of my town... () So I've been to some really good restaurants. I eat a lot of sushi. 4. Mexican-- Some things I like more than others. But my moms best friend is actually from Mexico. I've known her all my life, she's basically a second mother to me. So I've gotten to try a lot of dishes. Overall I enjoy it. 5. Hawaiian-- Most of the dishes I've had in Hawaii the few times I've gone, aren't that different from what I've had on the mainland. A lot of the food is similar, but just with a Hawaiian or Island twist. For example... they have something called "shave" or "shave ice" which is kind of like a snow cone. But it comes in many different "island" flavors like, pineapple, coconut, papaya, guava, etc., regular flavors too, though. And along with it they'll serve either vanilla ice cream, and/or some sort of beans that are supposed to be really sweet . I was interested, but thought that was kind of odd, ice cream and beans... I haven't tried it. Maybe next time... So yeah, a lot of dishes had "twists" like that. There's waaay too much to list it all. But for the most part, I ate a lot of seafood, pork and fruit. Everything seems to taste so fresh there. I always enjoy the food. Last edited by MistyMountainHop; 03-24-2015 at 10:47 AM |
