 Classic Comics Saturday --- Those ’70s Comics: 459 Comic!Season 4.5 Inspired by episode 501 - “Going To California”  --- Comments: Continuing to explore how Jackie and Hyde’s romantic and physical attraction to each other developed. Also, Jackie’s outfits inspired me to draw them, which eventually led me to drawing every outfit every character wears in each scene of each episode–and in each “standard” position (e.g., standing front, standing sideways, sitting front, etc.). Which makes creating the comics a longer process, but as the stories evolved in complexity, so did the art. Jackie still has retractable arms at this point in the comic series, though.  Classic Comics Sunday --- Those ’70s Comics: 460 Comic!Season 4.5 Inspired by episode 501 - “Going To California”  --- Comments: Today’s comic addresses how impractical/unrealistic the path to Eric and Donna’s reconciliation/reunion in “Going to California” is (even though I love their reunion). This comic also debuts Kitty’s wild hair, which I would soon use regularly for her menopausal-flare hair. __________________

Classic Comics Saturday --- Those ’70s Comics: 461 Comic!Season 4.5 Inspired by episode 501 - “Going To California”  --- Comments: On the show, we see the tail-end of Donna and Kelso’s dynamic in California. I wanted to show how their dynamic might’ve been during the first month or so and how it develops into what it becomes in “Going to California” (5x01). Just when Donna thinks Kelso has some self-awareness, he shows her otherwise. __________________

Classic Comics Sunday --- Those ’70s Comics: 462 Comic!Season 4.5 Inspired by episode 501 - “Going To California”  --- Comments: In the comics, Jackie and Hyde’s relationship has progressed. They’re much more comfortable hanging out together alone (in fact, they enjoy it), and they’re giving each other signals (indirect and direct) about how much they’re starting to feel for each other. Eric, of course, is unhappy with Jackie’s consistent presence in the basement. He doesn’t understand why she continues to come to his house. If he stepped outside his misery for a moment, he might be able to figure it out.
