 Classic Comics Sunday --- Those ’70s Comics: 227 Inspired by episode 318 - “The Trials of Michael Kelso” --- Comments: For “The Trials of Michael Kelso,” the comics have Jackie utilize the gang in her tests. The gang’s a big part of her and Kelso’s life, so Jackie believes using their friends (and not-so-friends) to test Kelso’s maturity makes logical sense. The question is, however, why does Jackie want to go back to Kelso after their disastrous first time around? Classic Comics Saturday --- Those ’70s Comics: 228 Inspired by episode 318 - “The Trials of Michael Kelso” --- Comments: The guys could be rather mean to one another for a laugh. In this comic, I show where Hyde’s line is. Not giving Kelso his lighter is a callback to and correction of Hyde’s indifference in “Hyde’s Christmas Rager” (309) toward the prospect of Fez setting himself on fire. In the comics’ version of that scene in “Hyde’s Christmas Rager,” Hyde’s indifference is explained by his knowledge Fez’s pants is full of ice cubes. He believes Fez won’t be able to catch on fire, so he acts like he doesn’t care too much about Fez’s welfare (it’s all in the subtext). --- Furiosity, thank you!  Bob lived with Joanne for years (though the show, I'm sure, would say the time was a lot shorter ). He wouldn't get over that relationship super-fast, despite him dating other women. Colleen, thank you, too! __________________
