By season 4, that certainly ended up being the case.

Theresa, is a very nurturing person. Her choosing to be a nurse is part of that, and it's also probably why she's able to bring out Red's softer side more than anyone else can (besides Laurie).

I love that Kitty embraced them all as her kids.

I wonder what would've happened if a kid Kitty didn't like became a regular in the basement.

I am not sure she really liked Michael.

She might work together with Red to get that kid kicked out!

Kitty showed compassion to Kelso in season 1 in "Ski Trip" and in season 6 in "5:15" (6x21) when Kelso was going to bring a very pregnant Brooke on a super inappropriate date. So I think she cared about Kelso. If she knew the extent to which Kelso had hurt Jackie and Hyde and Donna and Fez, etc., she might not have been so nice.

Donna, honestly, should've kicked Kelso's butt to the moon.

I liked that Donna always had Kitty to go to.

Until Eric wanted her to stop because he got all insecure about it. But I'm sure she was still able to go to Kitty -- just with less frequency.

Until the later seasons when Kitty did a 180 and was written like Red's mom, hurling misogynistic insults at Donna, speaking resentfully and inappropriately about Eric's love for Donna vs. Eric's love for herself. Kitty became so OOC, and the writing got so bad.

That was not a good character trait for Kitty to have.

No. It turned her character into a cliche, too. She and Donna needed to be on the same side and continue their loving relationship.

Speaking of Donna, she and Eric played a lot of basket ball together the first three seasons of the show. I don't remember if that carried over after their breakup and reconciliation.

That's true, they did that a lot. Sometimes people lost their pants...
