Red would never live it down. He might go into hiding.

Or he'd remind everyone how scary he could be, and they wouldn't tease him about that moment -- at least to his face.

People would/can mess with Red only so much. Donna ran away in a season-5 ep after telling him, "You're the dumbass!" She didn't want to face his wrath afterward.

And it's a good thing that she did 'cause otherwise the show would've been left Donna-less. And that would be a real shame.

Donna would've heard Red's most negative judgments about her and Eric's judgment (about getting engaged). Suffering through a Red yell-lecture might scare her a little, and she'd understand Eric better.

That could've been interesting, actually. In that episode, she said, "Red really yelled at me!" but he yelled at her briefly. Experiencing for a half-hour what Eric had to experience many times over the years would probably earn Eric more respect from her.

That's not to say she doens't respect him already, but she'd admire that he held onto his sensitivity (which, admittedly, he sometimes doesn't have) despite Red's expressions of anger.

That's a really good point you're making there, it could've given her a better inside and a larger amount of respect for Eric.

An a different subject, what if Donna decided to try to out-geek Eric? She could do research on his favorite comic book characters and spout a ton of facts about them at random points in their conversation. At first he might be turned on, but her intention is to make him understand how she feels when he goes on about these things. In order to do that, she has to talk about it ten-times more than him (because he has a high tolerance ).

That would be funny, but I also would like it if she ended up discovering something about it that she really likes. Maybe a different character that she comes across.
