I've started a rewatch of OITNB and it's really interesting to see the beginnings of Alex Vause. Due to the first season being Piper's POV (mostly), she really is painted as a villain. Not without reason, of course, since she did give up Piper to reduce her sentence.

Season 1 of OITNB also hews closely to the non-fiction book of the same name. So it's based on the real events of the author's life. The later seasons, not so much. The later Alex Vause is a character of pure fiction (or maybe she's based on people the OITNB writers know ... have no idea

Yeah, it shows in how her character changes.

I prefer the direction the show took after leaving the book behind, so to speak. As a shipper of Alex and Piper, I am not very objective though.

I'm gonna span a few decades here.

Donna would probably hate most of reality television, although she might watch cooking shows to learn how to become a better cook.

She'd enjoy sitcoms and dramas. But specifically, Orphan Black would be on her must-watch list as well as documentary news programs. She'd probably pretend like Xena: Warrior Princess isn't one of her favorite shows of all time, partly because Eric wants her to dress up like Xena.

Castle would be her favorite cop procedural show. She'd relate to Beckett having to deal with/love Castle.
