Leo's Diary Entry: #4

So I bought me one of them TVs, and, man, it is really freaky -- but it’s a good freaky. Like there’s this show called The Incredible Hulk -- and they are so right to call it that ‘cause he really is incredible! See, he’s this nice guy David Banner most of the time, but every now and then he gets real mad and turns green and gets all these muscles (that’s the incredible part). The first time I saw him turn green, I figured I was seeing things -- you know, ‘cause that sometimes happens after I ... you know -- but then it happened again the next week -- and that time I hadn’t taken anything! How great is that?

And then the other day I was watching this show called Chico and the Man. And, like, I thought it was gonna be bad ‘cause The Man has been hounding me for years -- but on this show he was just some cranky guy named Ed who runs a garage. And I can totally relate ‘cause, like, I can be cranky AND I have a garage! Oh, and it’s also got this great song ... "Chico, don’t be discouraged. The Man, he ain’t so hard to understand. Chico, if you try now, I know that you can lend a helping ha..."

Leo's Diary Entry: #5

Leo takes a trip through TV Land...

Hey, man, the weirdest thing happened to me tonight. I was watching TV ‘cause I couldn’t sleep. This show Mork and Mindy was on the tube (why do they call it a tube if it’s shaped like a box?). Anyway, Mork spoke to me. He said, "Nanu, nanu." And I was, like, "Dude, thanks for noticing. This jacket is new." I had no idea he spoke my language; no one else does. And I said, "Nanu nani," which means I like your suspenders. But he was gone.

Then there was this person in a brown, orange, and yellow get-up and he said, "You deserve a break today." And then these golden arches appeared. They looked familiar, but I couldn’t remember where I’d seen them before. So, I changed the channel, and that show with the little dude who lives with the rich white dude was on. And he spoke to me too. He said, "Whatchu talkin’ ‘bout, Willis?" And I said, "I’m not Willis." Man, it was like he was confused or something. I was about to introduce myself to him when the person in the brown, orange, and yellow get-up came back on and said, "You deserve a break today." And these golden arches appeared. I know I’d seen them before, but I couldn’t think of where. It was weird, man.

Man, that’s the last time I let Hyde make me a pizza before I go to sleep.
