I loved that Donna did that, it was her own subtle way of getting back at him.

And it worked.
Too bad Eric didn't have any subtle ways of getting back at her. His behavior in "Uncomfortable Ball Stuff" was so bad. __________________

Yeah Eric's ways of getting back at Donna was not subtle at all.

I'm glad that Red yelled at him before they got into the car together (for the ball).

Yes that was definitely one of the times Eric needed Red to yell at him to get him into shape!

I don't love it when Red yells at Eric, but sometimes Eric earns it.

Exactly, Red is too hard on Eric at times, but at times Eric really does need Red's foot in his ass!

Eric accusing Hyde of stealing his Candy Land stash was one of those times, for sure. And all the times he said sexist/macho things to Donna -- or even treated her in a chauvinistic way (rare but it happened).

I was so mad at Eric when he accused Hyde of stealing the candyland stash! That had to really hurt Hyde deep down.

I like that episode because it resolves the whole Hyde-trying-to-steal-Donna storyline from S1. Considering Hyde's behavior in S1, I can understand why Eric might've thought him guilty of stealing the money. The show hadn't quite gotten a handle on Hyde's character yet, and to have him force a kiss on Donna was sooooo bad. I just can't see Hyde -- as he developed after that episode -- doing such a thing.

I did like that episode for that, it brought closure to the whole Donna issue. I felt like they could officially move on after that.

I wonder if Hyde ever apologized to Eric for trying to steal his girl? I also wonder if Hyde ever apologized to Donna for forcing a kiss on her. He must have. __________________

Knowing Hyde's character, he must have, we just didn't see it. In my mind he apologized.

I would hope Donna slapped some sense into Hyde. Like I said, I have such a hard time reconciling his S1 behavior toward Donna with the rest of his character. It just doesn't fit.
But, yeah. I'd think real!Hyde would've felt tremendously guilty and horrible and shame for what he did (as he should). And he would've given Donna a really heart-felt apology; otherwise, the friendship was over. __________________

You're right, if Hyde hadn't apologized, Donna would not be talking to him still. Donna doesn't put up with crap.
