My favorite older couple! I've had a bunch of T7S alum surprises lately, because I've seen Bob's actor in The Mindy Project, the guy who played Randy was in Angie Tribeca (it took me a second to realize who he was), and ofc Kurtwood was in Resurrection. It was a shame that got canceled, because that was a nice role for him. Has DJR been in anything recently of note? She's the only one of the cast I haven't really seen. :/

, Kendra!

DJR was realtively recently in the Off-Broadway play "Becoming Dr. Ruth," where she played the titular character (this is the first time I've ever written the word titular ).

She was also in a TV movie called Pearl last year.

Red and Kitty are a lot of fun, so it's always nice to see how much support they have on Tumblr. Ofc, I think it might all be by the same person, but it's more consistent than the other ships, so kudos to them!

Ohh, really? The last time I saw DJR on TV was when she played a camp counselor on As The World Turns. That was my mom's favorite soap, so that's how I saw it. Her voice/overall demeanor is so iconic to T7S, so I wonder if that makes it difficult for her to get more work.

I see in 2005, the cast did Robot Chicken (I've actually seen this before, but I'd forgotten):

Yeah, it's my friend Prissy (aka nannygirl, who sometimes posts here, too). She's a huge Red/Kitty fan and the queen of R/K fic.

Just looked it up. It was in 2008 (I was curious ).

It's interesting that she has no children but played one of the most beloved moms on TV.

It could be! Although she put on a voice for Kitty a bit. Her first scene in T7S is from Eric's POV, so she played Kitty more cartoonish -- including the laugh -- because she thought that's how Eric woild view her. She intended to portray Kitty, er, less cartoonisly (is there an antonym for cartoonish? ), but her original through-Eric's-POV portrayal stuck and became Kitty.

Yeah, that's a fun clip! The only thing I wish is that we'd gotten a touch of Zen (of course I do ).

Saaaaaame. *laughs like Kitty*

During S1-S4, they're so clearly in love and have the hots for each other. It's a great (and much-needed) example on TV of how a good marriage can be. They disagree and get into fights, too, but they work them out.

One of my friends likes Red/Kitty too, but she doesn't write fic or anything. They're definitely one of my favorite parental TV couples, because it's rare that I care about the parents as much as the kids in a show.

Wow, that feels so long ago, but it really wasn't, all things considered! She had kind of a goofy role since she was a meddling camp counselor. Aww, really? I had no idea! She seems like she'd be very warm and a good mom. But I get that parenting isn't for everyone. I'm still trying to decide if I want kids. :S

Haha, well I'm glad, cuz honestly, her laugh sometimes makes a scene 10x funnier than it actually is. And since I've been watching it so much, I find myself almost mimicking it sometimes when I laugh sarcastically, whoops!

Aww, yeah, me too! Guess he wasn't available!

Yes! T7S gives Red and Kitty a life of their own, goals beyond the kids, etc. They have chemistry together, and during S1-S4, they aren't a cliche TV married couple but have the hots for each other. Red has eyes for only Kitty and doesn't complain about having married her. She's very obviously the only woman for him, and he's happy with her. In fact, he says once she's the only person he actually likes in the world. And Kitty is a strong woman who sometimes needs support in that strength (cue: Donna, Joanne, etc. who are also strong women).

I'd love to see a clip of that.

Her laugh definitely enhances a scene.

Yes! Her laugh is hilarious and I love Lisa using it in her comics as well, I always hear it in my head.
