Waxing Poetic There´s nothing I love better than fall. The leaves are ablaze in a hundred shades of crimson and gold. Ooh, that sounds poetic. I should write a poem. I'll write a haiku about fall! It's three lines, the first with five syllables, the next with seven, and the last with five. That's easy. Leaves turning red and gold Bare branches way up high: Out come the rakes. Oops, that´s six-six-four. Turning from green To red and gold. Let´s get out the rakes. Shoot, that´s four-four-five. Say good bye to leaves. Green to red to gold to brown -- Autumn is here at last. Five-seven-six. Autumn colors sparkle. The frost is on the pumpkin: Shall I make a pie? Wait, six-seven-five. Oh, the Haikus are stupid. And they don´t rhyme anyway: Now I hate haiku. I'm a poet, and I do know it. Hey, I should send this into a magazine or something. --- That ‘70s Show diary entries copyright The Carsey-Werner Company, LLC and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, LLC. |

Kitty Forever Young Dear Diary, At first I was very against Eric and Donna getting engaged so young, but I think it's brought Donna and me closer together, and I really cherish our friendship. Being friends with a young person is keeping me young. For instance, she and I have made plans to make candles together next week. Just for the fun of it. I generally only use candles on Christmas or on my anniversary, but what the heck? Maybe I´ll start lighting candles in the middle of the week for no reason at all. Like maybe Tuesday, I'll come home from work and just light some candles. I feel so artsy, just like a hippie living in Oregon or one of those other earthy states out past Minnesota. Something else that Donna introduced me to was incense. I know Eric burns incense in the basement because it smells so musty and damp down there, so I thought it would be nice to bring that lovely sandalwood scent up in the living room. I lit the incense stick and put it in the cute little ceramic holder Donna got me. It's shaped like a frog, and the incense goes in his mouth. I was really enjoying the woodsy aroma and feeling like a teenager, then Red came in and wanted to know why the house "smelled like a Moroccan brothel." I told Red to just give it a chance. Finally, he had to admit it was better than the smell of the fish I'd made for dinner the night before. Before long, the aroma brought Eric downstairs. He came running down the stairs yelling, "Hyde, put that out. My parents will smell it!" I told him Hyde wasn't lighting up the incense, I was. Eric had no idea he had such a young, hip mother. --- That ‘70s Show diary entries copyright The Carsey-Werner Company, LLC and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, LLC. |
Aww that's such a cute entry.

Kitty is adorable.
Season-1!Kitty seemed more aware of how teenagers really behaved vs. how Kitty was characterized afterward. |
I feel the same way. Kitty seemed to seem less aware as the seasons went on.
|
The show wrote her more and more cartoony. A lot of the humor was great -- but not when it dumbed her down.
|
I hated how they dumbed her down too. It just was not right.
