It was funny, because I went to Best Buy with my brother a week or two ago, and somehow, T7S came up in our conversation, and even HE said, "That just goes to show how lazy the writing got." I didn't even know he watched the show! So I'm sure he hated "the season that shall not be named" as well, but I didn't ask. No need to reopen old wounds, haha.

It's pretty obvious how lazy the writing got after season 5. And it didn't get better from there. Maybe to only the most casual of viewers who are into the show for the laughs won't notice (because the show remains funny in S6 and S7, but the stories and character development are not all that good).

Yeah, and the producers and director must've realized the recast wasn't working, especially with the crappy story direction they gave Laurie.
