Fake!Laurie was written with only the most superficial of Laurie's character traits, like the show wanted her to be seen and not heard while they figured out how to end the Laurie/Fez storyline.

Fake Laurie just didn't have that same deviousness in her as LRK. LRK had this natural charisma.

Despite Kitty's statement that she watched Penny's mother give birth to her, Penny has to be on Red's side of the family. Kitty has only one sister, Paula, and we know she was childless.

I wonder if Kitty was close to Red's sister or sister in law that was giving birth to Penny. She might have been if she was there to witness the birth.

That's the kind of thing I wish the show would've given us. Flesh out the Formans' extended family -- and the other characters' families. I have a hard time believing Jackie didn't have aunts and uncles. Where the heck were they when she went her dad went to jail and her mom stayed in Mexico?

I mean, Hyde being alone was accounted for. Both of his parents were alcoholics, and neither seemed to have come from a healthy family themselves. We know one of Hyde's uncles stole Hyde's girlfriend of three days, and the same uncle (or a different one) gave Hyde his boots -- and one of his uncles went to jail. His cousins were in jail or dead or pumping gas.

I wish we could have seen more of the characters extended family. I really would have liked to see more of Jackie's back story, and how her family came to be what it was.

Yessss, for sure. I think Jack must have come from money. He owned half of Point Place and was a councilman. Maybe the Burkharts had been the towns' founders?

I'd be interested in knowing the characters' family trees. With Hyde, I'd like to know Bud, Edna, and W.B.'s.

If Eric's middle name is really "Albert," it could've been fun for the gang to tease him about that.

"Anne" is supposedly Kitty's middle name. "Marie" is Donna's. I wonder if Kelso has one... and my head!canon is that Hyde really is "Steven J. Hyde III," with Bud being "Steven J. Hyde II" ("Bud" is obviously a nickname). And "James" is their middle name.

It's bothering me because I almost could swear I heard Kelso's middle name once, but I don't remember it. I could be wrong though.
