50 Reasons Why We Love the Formans

1. They really do love one another.
2. They took Hyde into the family and treated him like their own son/brother.
3. They'll go square-dancing with Kitty to make her happy.
4. They helped Jackie move everything out of her family's ski cabin.
5. They sit at the table and have breakfast together.
6. They sometimes burn one another for their own good.
7. They sit and have dinner together, and the dinners usually look good.
8. They go to Church together
9. They would do anything for each other.
10. They were there for Bob and Donna when Midge left.
11. They're very forgiving of one another, even if it takes a moment to get there.
12. Because they give each other advice.
13. Because Red and Kitty are a great example of a couple staying in love a long time.
14. Because they really are parents to all the kids!
15. They help out everyone even if it takes some convincing.
16. Because, for the most part, they tolerate Eric's friends coming to and going from their house as they please.
17. Because Kitty wants to make sure all of her "kids" are taken care of.
18. They helped convinced the INS agent that Fez/Laurie's marriage was real so that Fez would not get deported.
19. Because they helped Hyde learn how to dance -- before he ever moved in with them.

44. Red was protective of Hyde when Hyde met his biological father for the first time.

46. Red and Kitty bought a motorcycle for themselves after he got his first paycheck.
47. Red sold his Corvette to support the family when he thought Kitty was pregnant.

Despite what people may think about Donna, she was a great girlfriend to Eric -- and even in her less than pleasant moments, she (usually) realized her mistakes and owned up to them.

I thought they actually were both good to each other honestly. They made mistakes, but they were genuinely there for each other. Donna was a good girlfriend to Eric.

I wonder if it's people's attraction to Eric/Topher that makes them hate any negative behavior of Donna's toward him -- even if it's justified or apologized for later. :shrug: Super-crushes can make people lose rationality sometimes. :lol:

I wonder what the Forman Annual Photo looked like every year. I'm sure Kitty insisted Hyde be part of it once he moved in, and Laurie complained. saying, "But he's not even family!" Then Red would say, "I don't want to be in it, either. But anyone who lives under my roof has to suffer -- I mean, be in the picture. "

I can see Red saying that exact line Lisa.

Kitty for sure would want Hyde to be in the picture, she definitely thought of him as a son.

Kitty definitely saw Hyde as her adopted son, methinks. But it was, understandably, a different flavor than how she felt about Eric -- who was her baby.

Eric will forever be Kitty's baby, no matter how old he gets. In a way I actually think it's sweet. :)

Me, too... except when Eric feels infantilized or suffocated by it. :P

There should've been an episode where Kitty and Red switched attitudes on their kids. Red would've been pro-Eric and Kitty would've been pro-Laurie. That coud've been interesting.

I would have liked to see that episode too. I always wanted to see a closer bond between Kitty and Laurie, so the rare glimpses we got, it was nice.

Like when Laurie helped Kitty cheat at poker. :love: And when Kitty defended Laurie to Red after he discovered she was living with a (married) man.

*toothbrush clatters to the floor* "Hi, Daddy!"

I know I have mentioned this before, but I really liked it when Kitty encouraged Laurie to stay in beauty school. That was a great moment between them. :)

:nod: It was. Kitty really loved her daughter, but she wasn't fond of her behavior/attitude. I'm sure if Laurie's storyline from S5 had continued, her relationship with Kitty would've evolved into a good direction, too.

I would like to think that the relationship kept evolving too. I felt their little moments together were the building blocks to a better understanding relationship.

I bet had Laurie and Fez's relationship been written as originally intended, and if Laurie ended up getting pregnant (instead of Brooke), she would've relied on Kitty for a lot of motherly help/advice.

I would have liked to see that play out. It would have been real cute to see Laurie pregnant with Kitty helping her out. :)
