Thanks for the welcome back everyone!
My vacation was soooo relaxing and beautiful. It is exactly what Matt and I needed, as we both have been so stressed lately. We stayed at his aunt's cottage for two days on Houghton lake, and went boating and swimming, and grilled outside and in general sat by the water and relaxed. After that we hit the road and went to Mackinac for a few days. Our hotel wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst so that's okay. We had a room right on the water so we could see the bridge, and all the Ferry's coming in. We did a lot of exploring and went into town a lot. Ate a lot of good food, which was nice because calories don't count for me on vacation. We also did some shopping in Mackinac, we got little presents for our nephews, niece, my sister and our parents. Well Matt's parent's got fudge because they love it from Mackinac and my parents got the special kind of nutty caramel corn they love that you can really only get in Mackinac. Matt and I found a cool bookstore where we each got a new book. We also went to a jewelry store that hand makes all their jewelry and all the stones come from Michigan. I got a new bracelet from there, actually two because they also had bracelets that if you donated a dollar it went straight to help out rescue animals so Matt and I each got one. He also got a necklace and I got another bracelet at another store too, the necklaces are supposed to help with good luck so we figured it couldn't hurt! Sorry for the long ramble! We just had a really great time, and took lots of pictures of course. |

Aww thanks! We are already planning for next summer, as silly as that sounds. My mom wants to go on vacation with the whole family next summer.
