Same here.

Although it was much better than the later half of S5 it was still blah at times. They wasted too much. But I'll live with Chuck worrying about his sister and joining the search for her in 6.01. Least we have that.

i actually loathed 6x01 with a passion except for the opening MC scene with CB (even tho i hated the way it was edited) and CB limo scene at the end.

There was so much fail. HOW we didn't get a 4x02 parallel in 6x01 infuriates me.

Basically, yep. Season 6 seemed lazy writing all around, they could have done Chuck playing the part Serena played in 4.02.

you know i wonder if they were afraid to do more friendship CS bc of the backlash leftover from from DB in S5. i mean CS are SIBLINGS ffs.

but i guess Chuck was too busy with horses and oil while Serena was off playing aged step mommy to older snoozefest. priorities.

That's so sad because Cherena banter was quite enjoyable. They didn't need to date (!) they could just have had some funny scenes. Pity.
