 it just seemed so unnecessary. Even though it was sad, I thought their actual breakup was done really well.  __________________

Agree.
 I don't know what that was about in 3x18. They could've just left them the way they were. They had a heartbreaking yet well done break-up. And then that episode happened.  Still love them, though. __________________
