Oh I agree. You can't compare the two. Dan is suffering from a broken heart while Serena is suffering from over a decade of childhood loss and identity crisis. Its difficult to compare the two things. I just see his recklessness as a symptom of his heartbreak and it all started way back in 216. But, its definately arguable. I just hope they both come out of this cause I just feel interminably bad for them.

I actually really love where Serena's storyline is going, I finally fully get why she always felt/seemed so lost and I can really understand what she's going through and the way she's reacting to it. Blake's performance in the elevator was fabulous

Jenny is all grown-up now!!

How exactly is she grown up? I felt like the character regressed. I was annoyed by her actions in season 2 but then she supposedly learned something but it appears not to be true.

Eric is a looser without Jenny!

I wouldn't say he is a looser without her (imo Jenny's current behaviour and chase-for-fame is making her a looser but that's just me). She treated him badly in the past, so I'm glad he isn't friends with her anymore. I just wish he wouldn't step down to her level and just let it go.

Thinking about what Serena remembers about her dad and what Lily did to her and Eric makes me want to hit Lily with a clue by four. Serena remembers daddy leaving and coming back until one time he just didn't come back. Then Lily does almost the same exact thing to Serena and Eric. She leaves them with hardly any notice and comes back at her whim. I would imagine that every time Serena had to go Blair or Nate's house, she wondered if this would be the time Lily just wouldn't come back.

I know the threesome wasn't racy, but I enjoyed how in character everybody's reactions were. They were tentative and somewhat awkward, but not in a bad way more in an endearing way. Olivia ran that threesome. She put the moves on Dan, then Vanessa and finally gave the nod of approval to the Dan/Vanessa kiss.

IA. I really never see or get Jenny's motivations most of the time which makes me unsimpathetic to the character most of the time. And Eric- I love Eric. He definitely doesn't need Jenny's bi-polar relationship.

I don’t think that Jenny has grown up at all. She’s gone from someone who learned the downside of popularity to someone who’s obsessed with it, and she’s treated the one person who’s always been there for her horribly. She’s ditched her true friend for minions who’ll stab her in the back in a heartbeat, and in the end, being Queen of Constance will gain her nothing, just as it ultimately gained nothing for Blair.

I also don’t have the sympathy and understanding for Jenny’s motivations for being Queen Bee like I did with Blair, so while I loved Blair no matter what she did, I can’t feel the same way for Jenny.

Yes! I completely agree. I can't understand how anyone could do that to their children... Lily really isn't a good mother. I feel bad for Serena - after all she doesn't really have a father so she needs her mom even more.

Exactly, Jerry. I've always understood Blair and where she's coming from pretty much from day 1, Jenny, on the other hand makes very little sense to me. These last few episodes I've failed to understand her "struggles". She doesn't really have any and I was so Team Eric this past episode it's not even funny.
