I hope they're not turning the show into BV 90210 where the main focus is The Walshes (sp?). No offends to The Humphrey' fans but the main attraction of the show, the reason MOST people tuning in in the first place is to watch the shenanigans the Upper Eastsiders are up to. Not the Humphreys' drama and words o' wisdom.

Back then,only Jenny H. gets on my nerves, but since last week episode, the whole Humphrey clans irritate me. Bring back the old GG we all know and love and the show might survive another season. How long are they going to depend on CB to keep the show afloat before it sinks faster than the Titanic?

Yeah, GG is about "the scandalous lives of Manhattan's elite". Jenny, Dan and Rufus are NOT Manhattan;s elite. They are Brooklyners. BROOKLYNERS. GG's appeal is how these spoilt rich kids are dealing with the drama in their life.

The Humphrey drama is just boring. SNBC's all comes from their parents who are neglectful and ignore their problems because they can. Also the need to be at the top, drinking & partying, sex, scandal, drugs, alcohol, popularity. They do such so horrible things yet they're able to make you still love them. That's talent.

Pat, they do focus a lot on the Humphreys because Josh has made it pretty clear he's making it about the outsiders' view into the world of these young, rich teens. But this is a show for teenagers and young adults, so I don't understand why he thinks we could possibly be interested in watching that. Give us CBNS and spare us the play-by-play Humphrey dinner scenes we're always getting. They seriously need to give us NS scenes soon, now it's just getting ridiculous.

Plus VanderBass dinner scenes with Nate & Blair joining in on a few would be made of 10000x more win then any Humphrey dinner scene.

If they keep going into the Humphrey-centric direction, they might as well bring back 7th Heaven. I mean, of course I wouldn't want the show to focus on being shallow - in fact, I would HATE that BUT, at the same time, too much of being pompously moralistic is just even worse.

lol i love you guys. but its so true. they focus way too much on the humphreys which are all the boring characters instead of focusing on the interesting family which is serena and chucks family. plus probably the most entertaining characters dialogue-wise are chuck and blair either together or alone and the most interesting characters chemistry-wise are nate and serena and blaire and chuck all together. the humphreys are always going to be on the outside. thats what i like about them. they dont fit in so its difficult when they try to. the story should always take place in the upper eastside and we should only see the humphreys when they come to mingle with the upper class. not the other way around

Exactly! But now it seems like the Upper Class are more like the background characters!
