Hey guys!

I just got back from my internship orientation and I'm working with three hot guys, it's going to be so fun. Anyways.

I like Aaron in the books and I hope they don't make him a jerk.

I do believe that NS still have an air of mystery around them. It's pretty obvious that, like Chace said, they have an intense past and I think that the writers want to still keep them on the down low. Okay I have no idea if I'm making any sense but it sounded good when I thought about it.

It makes sense. I think that NS will be explored. I was thinking about the OC the other day and Josh did a good job of exploring all options on that show. I mean, Theresa/Ryan were even explored and they were the underdog to Marissa/Ryan. So I think NS will be explored at some point.

I mean, they kind of have to be. A big portion of the books and the first season dealt with them.

They've basically explored every pairing but them. I think they really can dig deep into their history, because I feel like there was a lot there. Like in the books (no offense if you liked NB or anything in the books) but you didn't realize how intense their feelings were until the ending and the prequel. I do know they'll happen at some point but I HOPE they won't be just a fling or a fast ordeal. With that said, I already know DS are endgame and as much as that prospect bores me, I'd at least be happy they got a chance.

Well there just wouldnt really be a purpose to writing Nates feelings for Serena at all if they werent ever going to go there.

I mean, we got like 6 good episodes of Nate pining after Serena and angst. And all hope wasnt lost because at the end of the season we had Blair telling V that Nate would always be in love with Serena and we had the cute NS stuff in 201.

I dont see the show ending without NS never been given a chance.

I am really sure they will get a chance, but it's kind of hard waiting this long, you know? A lot of our shippers have lost hope or are losing hope because they don't give us anything in the meantime. I'm guessing maybe an end of the season or maybe beginning of next season hookup? I don't want them to be in another triangle though.

Essentially, just my opinion, I do think Nate and Serena's personalities compliment each other and they accept each other and would possibly help each other grow, but the world is always getting in the way of them two. Call me crazy but I wouldn't mind if they weren't endgame, but were epic. Again, I'm not sure if I made any sense.

Well I just dont get the vibe that Nate is over Serena. As much as I like NJ I think that Nate deep down is just trying to date all these girls because deep down hes not over Serena.

and rewatching the pilot convinced me that Serena did have feelings for Nate when she got back. I never used to think so, but she said something about how they couldnt be together. And it just made me think that the only reason why she didnt want anything more with him was to keep her friendship with Blair.

I really think that in the future NS could happen though without Blair being an issue because in 201, Blair thought they were together and didnt really seem to mind much. Plus shes all wrapped up in Chuck now.

Look at Pacey/Joey from DC. They were slightly hinted at in the first season, but never really got their real shot until season 3. And they ended up together. So IMO, anything can happen.

I think Nate/Serena could really compliment each other too and I was thinking about that they other day. They are like the same person. Both kind of laid back, but also seem to be pretty optimistic people. Neither are judgemental. They are both pretty darn hot, and seem to be on the same intelligence level. And they also seem like they would like the same things and be able to have a lot of fun together.

Maybe thats why they havent happened? They would be too perfect together and then everyone would love them and then he couldnt go back to DS. LOL.

I do agree about Nate dating all these girls (no offense

) to attempt getting over her. He's never pursued a girl quite like he had with Serena and I really think that people misinterpret the complete 180 when he went back to Blair. He saw she was happy with Dan, and Blair was less 'Blair-like' and more 'Serena-like' and free and then he let her go. I'm not saying there weren't other reasons for the NB reunion but those were two big ones.

I've heard a lot of people say what you just said- about Serena's feelings. She said that he was 'meant' to be with Blair, which didn't mean she didn't love him. If you look at her face it was pretty obvious she did, or just cared a great deal about him. Even Blake was an NS shipper at one point, she said they were meant to be loved each other.

True, anything can happen but as of right now DS are still endgame. The tables could turn, but I really don't want to get my hopes up.

Something about Nate/Serena just appeal to me. They just have this easy chemistry and understanding with each other. I don't know... I like their connection.

I'm glad you realize some stuff about NS, because they are pretty hard to interpret with such little scenes we've gotten.

The NB thing was so lame to me. 106 he was all about Serena. 107 his mind was elsewhere. 108 he suddenly wanted Blair back. It was completely OOC and came off totally wishy-washy. And the only excuse that he gave was that she wasnt herself. I think he just felt like he missed her because he was used to having her around all the time. They dated for like 13 years and he was with her out of habbit. And then the fact that she dumped him and seemed to be happy without him hurt his ego. lol. Even after they got back together, and he found out she slept with Chuck, he didnt even want her back. He didnt even try to fix things, so he obviously didnt care that much. And since then they havent really spoken at all.

You're right. Blake did mention that Serena cared about him. And Serena knows Josh and knows Serena better than anyone, so she probably did and said what they wanted her to and wanted her to think. And on top of that, Serena never denied having feelings for Nate. She said "thats the way its supposed to be." Which convinces me that shes only TRYING to do the right thing, it doesnt necessarily mean she wants to.

Honestly, I love DS and I love NJ. But a part of me is still rooting for NS. I'd like to believe that I am not a biased shipper. lol.

IA with everything, again. The thing is that they really haven't gone deep into their past so NS is still a bit of a mystery to us. Hopefully we're right about their past being more meaningful than it appears. And I agree that Serena wanted Nate, but her friendship with Blair meant a lot for her and she didn't want to jeopardize that. Sometimes I don't like Serena's character but if this was the case I would respect her for being a martyr.

No, your not a biased shipper at all. For me, it really depends. Like I only hate 3 ships (now two, since NJ aren't as bad as I thought they would be) but I can tolerate the rest. I can see the positive sides of each relationship which is a good thing I guess. And when I hate a couple, I don't hate just because they are opposing my ship, but because I genuinely dislike them.

I get that NS may happen later, but I don't get why they're getting no friendship scenes.

OMG I know. If I were a writer, I would try my damn hardest to make all the characters interact. And I would try to make the MAIN characters all be friends. Because in real life, people get crushes and change their minds all the time. (at least I did! lol) but they dont always act on those feelings. And I think it would be so much better if NS actually got scenes together. We can have Nate pining after Serena and vice versa and make it realistic. It doesnt have to go anywhere right away. Build up, Josh. Build up.

I dont ever really HATE couples. There is only one couple that I hate on a tv show, and its not this one. The rest of the couples I dislike a lot but I can tolerate. And there arent any couples on GG that I hate. GG is actually one of the few shows where I ship pretty much everyone. I just love the cast and I think they all have great chemistry with one another. The only couple I dont like is Aaron/Serena. And I am not big on Dan/Vanessa. Other than that I dont mind anything. The five in my sig are my main ships. And you mentioned that you dont hate couples because they oppose your ship and I am totally with you there. I only dislike couples when I dont see a spark and/or the writing is bad for them. A lot of the couples I do ship oppose each other so it makes it hard to watch the show sometimes because I get confused on who I am rooting for. If there was ever a Chuck/Blair/Dan triangle or a Nate/Serena/Dan triangle I would probably die because I wouldnt be able to decide. Multi-shipping is a lot harder than not, IMO. People wouldnt think so because "that way you are always happy!" but actually, no. That way, you are always sad, because one of your ships gets neglected. So while I loved all the DS stuff we got last year, it made my NS heart sad.

Ive never been a big fan of Serena. I like Blair more. And I dont really see them in competition or anything, but Serena just doesnt really interst me. But I respect Serena and morally, she is one of the better characters on the show. So I dont see her sleeping with Nate just for the sex. If she wanted sex she could have had anyone. Why risk things with her best friends boyfriend? It was obvious there were other feelings though and we got a little taste of that from the Thanksgiving flashback episode. (which was total

by the way. The water fight scene is probably my favorite NS scene ever!)

Oh, and I am watching Chuck In Real Life, and there is a scene where Serena is talking about her mom leaving with her new boyfriends, and she told Blair that her and Eric would try to alternate staying at Blairs and Nates so they wouldnt be so supicious. It made me smile. Staying the night at Nates? So cute.

I think CBNS should have more scenes together. It's not that I absolutely hate the Brooklyners, it's just that I'm getting annoyed. I don't know who, but someone said that sometimes the interaction amongst the UESers depends on the interaction with the Brooklyners, and I don't think it should be like that. I do agree, NS should have more scenes together because anything would mean buildup. They do have an advantage, however, and that's their history together. But obviously I don't want them to get back together just like that, I want their feelings to resurface. It's pretty clear that Nate's always been in love with Serena, but I want to see more of her side of the story. I mean (the way I see it, which might not necessarily be what happened) Serena in the past being drunk all the time and hooking up with random guys partly had to do with Nate. Sure, Lily wasn't the best maternal figure and had lots of men but maybe that's how Serena thought she could deal with her problems, too. The one guy that Serena van der Woodsen truly wanted was the one guy that she could never get. And, like you said, if it was JUST sex, she could've gotten pretty much any guy. No matter how drunk you are (she was pretty drunk but not wasted), you don't just sleep with your best friends boyfriend unless there were some feelings involved.

Aw, I never actually thought multi shipping would be hard but now I'm glad I don't really multi ship! I use to seriously hate NJ, but now I don't. I have a bigger problem with NV because as cute as they were together that was the most contrived relationship I've ever seen (besides one Grey's Anatomy one, but this isn't the place for that. LOL.). I get NJ more because, I don't know, I feel like they were less contrived and I've dated my brothers good friend. Haha.

True, I don't necessarily find Serena likeable or entertaining- but when she's with Nate I do. No, and that's not just a shipper bias haha. I do find her entertaining with Chuck and Blair as well. Not to offend you, seeing as your a DS shipper, but the first season I felt like she was really surpressing herself. And then she lashed out at Dan and just became really creepy and weird. With Nate, she seems to be more balanced. She's a good girl, but she's a free spirit. You can't change a free spirit. Nate knows that, and he handles it perfectly because he's just always there for her when she needs him and he doesn't try to change her, he just accepts her and if they were ever in a relationship I'm sure he could guide her the way. That's why I love Nate's Serena the best.

The thanksgiving flashback really was sweet. Sure, Serena was drunk but again... I could sense their connection. There WAS something there.

I saw an interview once where they said something about how the Humphreys and Vanessa were the ones with the morale background and the interview guy was like "Oh, you mean, everyone from Brooklyn." and it made me laugh. Because it seems like Josh is trying to say that the UES are all the snotty selfish ones. And thats not true. NS are the two of the core 6 that seem the least judgemental and always seem to be TRYING to do the right thing.

Sadly, I a not a big fan of CNBS. I dont know why. I love Dan, personally, even though I prefer season 1 Dan to who he is now, but I dont like CBNS because it leaves out Dan. And frankly, Serena/Chuck just dont really click for me. Also, Nate/Blair annoy me sometimes. And I personally HATE the "friendship" between Blair and Serena. So yeah.

I think its safe to say that NV and NJ were both rushed. Honestly, I like them both. I really do. I am just hard on CV sometimes because I dislike Vanessa and I prefer NJ to NV so I find myself rooting for them more. I just like the chemistry between Chace/Taylor and I get that some people find the age thing weird, or that thye view them as bro/sis. Whatev. Ive been a fan of them since the show started and never thought it would happen. But the thing with both couples is that they were both really rushed. I love NJ, but I admit they were rushed. I mean, Nates sudden feelings for J came in one episode. The same thing happened for NV. They met and dated and kissed all in the same episode. At least NJ, IMO, knew each other somewhat before all that happened. They were friends, (or at least acquantances). Hell, Nate even moved in with J the week before so we can assume that maybe they got to know each other better in that time and maybe feelings started. With V, she hated him one second, then liked him okay, but then they kissed and suddenly they were together? Plus, Nate stood V up so many times. I just feel like he never really liked her that much. And I dont know what will happen with J, but I dont see him trying to pursue her once he gets back either. And if he isnt really putting much effort into these girls, he shouldnt be with them. I think Nate is just confused right now. Hes trying to throw himself into relationships to feel wanted. I mean, his parents neglected him and the one person that he only ever really seemed to care about didnt want him either. Poor guy.

I love Dan and Serena together, but mainly from the beginning of season 1. I felt like Dan was somewhat good for her becuase he made her want to chance. But ultimately, their relationship didnt work out because of that very fact, they were too different. I mean, Serena is popular and well known and she glides through life and Dan has to work for everything that he gets. And he has this idea of her and her "people" and thinks they get things just because of their status. And Serena doesnt necessarily disagree with that, but she cant really change it, either. So its like this cycle and neverending argument that they have. And Nate, is just like her. He knows what its like, so obviously he wont judge her for the same thing. But I think sometimes other people view NS's relationship as dangerous. Because they are so alike, it doesnt make Serena want to change or be better, thus throwing her into her old habits. But I dont think that would happen. Serena left and changed because SHE wanted to. I dont think that anyone could persuade her to go back to the person she way. Because, IMO, she just grew up. She realised all the mistakes she made and she changed for the better. Shes not that young kid anymore. And so I think NS could actually work really well together. Like Serena said, Dan held her on a pedestool. With Nate, she can be herself. He knows all about her past and he doesnt care. In fact, he liked her even then.

And yeah, Serena was drunk in the flashbac, but come on, she wasnt wasted! (at least not till later.) She was just tipsy. And being drunk doesnt change who you are. It just makes you do what you really want to do, or say what you want to say. LOL. And she was clearly flirting with Nate.

And OMG ITA with the CBNS scenes. It's supposed to be about the UES and you'd think that all of them would interact with each other a bit more. I really really want some friendship scenes between the four core. Especially with NS. We're still supposed to buy that they're really good friends when they haven't had a scene together since episode 2??? Telling us is whatever...show us please!
