I'm just stopping in for a sec whilst breaking from my Coursework. It's only 1500 words, but that's actually more difficult then it be more than that, as I have to put a lot into a few words, lol.

I hope this isn't off topic, but how intelligent do you think Serena is? Just a lot of the time, Serena and Nate are seen as 'the dumb ones' by fans. I don't think either of them will succeed as much academically as Blair, but, meh, we've seen Nate's pretty smart from the whole SAT thing.

I think they're actually really smart but a bit dysfunctional and initially disinterested.

And, yeah, me too. I think Serena is more interested in other things-volunteering in Africa, for instance-and I don't think Nate applied himself all that much in the beginning because, well, he didn't want to live the life he was being forced to live.

Exactly.

Serena verbally spars Blair and Chuck and does it effectively does presenting the fact that she's witty. Nate may not be book-smart but that's only because he's disinterested. That doesn't mean he's incapable. Book smarts can only get you so far. Him successfully taking the SATs says a lot.
