I AM CRYING TEARS OF BLOOD YOU GUYS. IS IT CRAZY THAT I WASN'T A HUGE FAN OF THE NICK/JESS SCENE!?!!? I JUST DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MYSELF.
As Emsie knows, these two have been OTP status for me forever and I thought that their build up was the definition of perfection. I have never once complained about this show, and especially not Nick and Jess. I think that their build up has been completely and utterly perfect. Even in this episode, I was squeeing all over the place - especially during the second scene behind the iron door when Nick said, "Not like this." It was... just perfect. But... then they kissed. Am I the only one that is disappointed that Nick and Jess' first kiss happened when she had a boyfriend!???!!! I think maybe their first kiss could’ve been excusable if it had happened during the game, especially after Nick’s beautiful, “Not like this.” BUT NOOOOOOOO. OF COURSE SHE HAD TO CHEAT. OF COURSE THAT IS HOW IT HAD TO HAPPEN. JUST WHY. WHHHHHYYY. I just think it almost cheapens them.  Nick said “NOT LIKE THIS!” because he wanted their first kiss to be ~special, not because of a stupid game. And I felt the same way. No games. The right time. Everything between them has been built up so perfectly. The tiniest moments were structured with the most angst and depth and emotion and just... everything has been so perfect. I just wish that their first kiss could've been a little more... special.  They have been so flawless for so long and I absolutely hate that I am disappointed by their first kiss. I just can't help it.  __________________

It's just frustrating to me, I think, because it simply wasn't necessary. Once you watch, you'll understand more, but I would've been perfectly fine if the episode had ended with Nick saying that he was an idiot when Sam was talking about him not being able to kiss her. It was great and emotional and opened doors that hadn't been opened before for Nick. It just wasn't necessary to have him kiss her after that, especially since I thought his whole "Not like this." line was so meaningful and it would've been even more so if he hadn't kissed her at all, especially not with her boyfriend in the next room.
 UGH, I don't know. I have loveloveloved their build up more than anything, and I ship them SO hard and always have, so it really makes me sad to think that I'm disappointed by something between them - especially their first kiss. I just hope that I can get over it and soon. Sorry I am ranting in this thread, btw.  It's my happy place and definitely the place I feel most comfortable talking about anything, haha. People were snubbing me in the NJ therad when I tried to bring it up there last night... not that I blame them. __________________

I hate to do this, my love, but I must leave you. I am leaving work in five minutes and have to head straight down to my school. Wednesday's this semester are going to be brutal: my boss is letting me out at 2, but I have class from 3:20 - 9PM.  But at least it's my last semester and one of only two days where I have class.
