Which may be for the best, because even though Serena was fine with him being GG, I think they probably had a lot of other issues they needed to work out.

i don't actually mind dan being GG despite some continuity problems. but it makes total sense.

not knowing what serena is doing as a career doesn't really matter because her character was never really career-driven. she could easily get a gig on a film, in PR firm, fashion agency, etc. seriously, serena van der woodsen doesn't need to work.

sorry if this was mentioned before. but i loved that they played florence + the machine during DS's wedding scene. just like florence was at blake and ryan's wedding. awww

as i mentioned earlier, i really wished there was a kiss between DS in the last episode. at least in the wedding. i mean we presume they got married but who knows if they did. as we saw as the camera was pulling back, they were ABOUT to get married. kissing would seal the deal

Upon watching the episode of the show one more time, it does seem understandable that he would be GG. It was imo a contrived way to become a part of Serena's world but that was the one he picked. I do wish though that they had decided that from the very beginning and made sure that the reveal would make sense not that there would be many points in the show where he wouldn't have been able to post as GG or where he didn't know certain things that GG did know. And I found it poignant that the show started with them and ended with them. So I guess I can live with him being GG (and the show has not been good at continuity and making sense in quite a while so the fact that they probably decided on GG's identity at the very last minute and then turned everything around to somehow make sense, was just the usual programming for GG fans, as sad that is)

And btw, if anyone is interested, according to Amazon, the DVDs are coming out on Feb. 11 in the UK and Feb. 19 in the US (no idea why the difference). Hopefully there are some deleted scene with the vows and the proposal or at least the vows
