So happy we have this thread. I love Eleanor. We get to see her evolve into such a wonderful mother who truly loves her child, and we get to see her fall in love with her second chance at happiness, Cyrus.

And Margaret Colin brought so much warmth to character. Even when she was supposed to be mean to Blair, she still came across as root worthy unlike the woman who played Eleanor in the pilot.

It was about time we got the thread tbh!

I love Eleanor SFM, she ended up being the best biological parent on the show by far. I wish we could have had more of her.

She's amazing. Such a matriarch of the family. And I'm glad she learned from her mistakes accepting Blair for who she is and being so excited to see her grandson that she doesn't let him out of lap.

The fella on the left, is Frank Grillo, who co-stars with Ed in the film A Conspiracy on Jekyll Island



The common link is her husband Justin Deas, who is a GREAT soap actor. Like one of the 4 best in the genre. (I know people get snotty about soaps but you have to understand that back in Justin's day most soaps were filmed in NY City and the actors were great stage actors. Soaps paid the bills for them. Anyway I digress). Frank Grillo and Justin Deas were on Guiding Light together.

It wasn't just Dan. Eleanor had the best reactions to everyone. One of my favorite scenes with her is from 6x10 when the police officer comes and Cyrus and Dorota won't answer her when she says "it's not like Blair and Chuck killed the man". Only time we see Eleanor almost faint.
