EPISODE DESCRIPTION: After a brief encounter abroad, Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Blair (Leighton Meester) make a promise to each other about their relationship, which leaves them once again apart. Dan (Penn Badgley), with some help from an unlikely ally, Georgina (guest star Michelle Trachtenberg), is writing a scathing tell-all book that can only mean trouble. As the sole head of The Spectator, Nate (Chace Crawford) is making his own decisions and is ready to go up against Gossip Girl. As word spreads that Serena (Blake Lively) is missing, the gang bands together to find her and are shocked by what they find. Robert John Burke and Sofia Black-D’Elia (“Skins”) guest star. Mark Piznarski directed the episode written by Stephanie Savage and Josh Schwartz.

im not really looking forward to the new episode or the new season, but i'll watch just to see how it will all play out.

Dan was PERFECT tonight! Lol I love him.

He was spot on in his assessment of CB, couldn't have said it better myself. I do think he still cares for Blair and is concerned for her, but I don't think it goes much further than that. I was actually surprised he wasn't all pro-chair like everyone else on this show is.

Lily pissed me off. What right does she have to be pissed at the idea of Rufus and Ivy! (though not so much an idea anymore)! News flash you left him for Bart Bass. Her way of thinking makes me what to pull my hair out.

Nate is, well Nate.

Blair is like a child, you can't help but feel sorry for her. When is she ever gonna learn? Did anyone else think it was telling when Blair said how noble and selfless of Nate to give up his GG reveal for Serena? And in response Chuck said, "You put your whole venture at risk!" The horrors of putting money and property above those you love. Yup, he hasn't changed. And his speech at the end was nice but the whole time I was thinking, actions speak louder than words and his actions have YET to back up any of his grand speeches. Thought the CB sex wasn't for me and the OMG thing made me cringe.

All Georgina did was make me laugh. Lol

Favorite line of the night, even if it was rude (which it was, but I’m not convinced Dan meant it to be an insult), “Wisconsin? Really? Do you even know where that is on a map?” I couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

ETA: Blair ONLY talked to Chuck about them making excuses because of what Dan said to her. In the end it means nothing, but I like that even now, when she's all 'in' with Chuck, Dan can still get to her.
