5x22: Raiders of the Lost Art

EPISODE DESCRIPTION: Chuck (Ed Westwick), Nate (Chace Crawford), Blair (Leighton Meester), Serena (Blake Lively) and Lola (guest star Ella Rae Peck) team up to uncover what they think is an explosive secret between Diana (Elizabeth Hurley) and Jack (guest star Desmond Harrington). Meanwhile, Dan (Penn Badgley) is offered a prestigious fellowship in Rome for the summer. Matthew Settle also stars. Bart Wenrich directed the episode written by Jake Coburn.

No there is 1 ep left before the finale, I think it airs 5.14

Chuck and Blair's chemistry shining through was amazing!

As posted elsewhere...

I loved this episode to pieces. My bbs!

Some top moments/thoughts...

Most importantly, I loved that their spark, their chemistry and their attraction to one another was there. Yet there was a calmness to their interactions, an underlining feeling of mutual respect, affection and, frankly, tenderness IMHO. They were lovely to watch.
I love that it somehow feels right. I thought the jump back wouldn't work because of a lack of build up. But the last episode was a great bridging one, and it put lots of pieces together. Blair is regaining her old self, and is getting back into the swing of things.
I love that Blair cracks codes, and I loved Chuck's bemused expression. He found it very Blair-esque, but at the same time, he was very floored by her intelligence.
I love that Blair was jealous of the girl who came up to Chuck, and how much fun she has with Chuck. Her eyes were sparkling, she was so in her groove.
I loved the scene where Chuck says "she likes to watch". That whole scene was brilliant, and reviewers totally agree with me there, and how can they not, it was hilarious and awesome and very GG.
I loved Serena. Poor bb.
I love that Serena has turned from evil Serena to incredibly sympathetic Serena. Poor S. She is so lonely. Blair doesn't hang out with her; too interested in her love triangle. Nate is off with Lola, and D only hangs out with B. Plus she is in love with D. Owch. I hope things go well for her sooner rather than later. Blake is acting it out really well!
I don't like Lola. And I don't like Lola and Nate together, but then again, I am a NS shipper since I don't think Dan would be a very good boyfriend for Serena right now. IMHO, Dan has evolved to what I think would work best with Vanessa. But the writers can turn stuff around fast if they like.
I liked that Lily/Rufus weren't involved. That storyline is getting boring, mostly because I find Rufus boring.

I LOVE how Blair fought for Chuck so hard with Jack. The love for Chuck came through in that

As much as I love CB, I love NJBC the mostest. I love the scheming. Its all so lovely.

i was more excited than i expected to be when chuck walked in on bart

SOOOO good!

i felt so sad for dan at the end. he loves her SO much and is at this place where he is completely unsure if she feels the same

its so sad.
i kind of think that they are dragging this all for the season finale. this whole episode is obviously supposed to cast some doubt with blair's POV and im sure many people feel that, but im hoping that it will make a complete turn by season's end. i have faith <333

serena got what she deserved in this episode. i loled when she said she doesnt do what GG has been doing. im like watttt?! pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! at least GG has done it to people she doesnt really know, unlike serena. anyways, its an interesting storyline.

i almost vomited when blair and jack shared a scene together. for real. i got this overwhelming urge to hit him

it's sick.

Yes.... I have grown to like Jack, but Jack and Blair together is never a nice scene.

Maybe my favorite episode of the season. Blair still loves Chuck! Bart lives! Nate is perfect! Serena is sad!

Dan is so pathetic but I do love how they showed that his happiness is getting that writing thing and she said she was inspired again by being near her friends and scheming. Except Dan can not deal with that. So supportive awesome boyfriend Dan is going to try and take away her inspiration so he can keep his. Gross. Let the relationship die already!

Also Nate loves Serena. This episode makes that clear. She needs to get back with that. I also hate the Gossip Girl plot.

Blair was jealous over the whore flirting with Chuck and they held hands and were perfect. So much chemistry. I felt like Ed and Leighton had a lot of pop working together again. Love it so much.

Loved it!!
Blair was as usual amazing especially her mimicking Diana. I loved Blair get jealous and the way Chuck was around her. It was soo good to see her back to herself.
I was expecting Bart to be alive, it was quite obvious in this episode......but would be interesting to see considering hes been AWOL for years.
