A trip to a cafe in Brooklyn to lend a friend some books can change your life. Nathaniel Archibald did just that, and in that cafe he encountered Vanessa Abrams for the first time. She was rude, and he just eyed her with a smile spread across his face. One practice essay and some apologetic souvlaki later we saw Nate and Vanessa on the first of many walks together. We saw them come alive in a whole new way right in front of our eyes. Their laughter was more genuine, their smiles brighter, and their chemistry filled the air between them.

Here were two people with horrible timing when it came to love, finding each other, sharing a moment and a perfect first kiss.

Nate and Vanessa may not have been a predictable paring, but they were a wonderful surprise. After a short time together they decided to go their separate ways, but it wouldn’t be long before they found each other again.

After a summer a spent apart, Nate turned to Vanessa when problems with his family became too much for him to handle. He could confide in her, and she was always ready to listen, waiting for him with her arms and heart wide open.

Suffocating under his troubles with money and Catherine, Nate found an escape in Vanessa. He could breathe again with her. She was turning out to be as vital to him as air.

The mask of darkness would allow the truth to finally come out, and for Nate to declare himself to Vanessa. She was the one he wanted to be with and Vanessa returned his feelings. But when the lights returned, Nate and Vanessa’s moment had passed, separated by a vindictive woman. Vanessa did what she had to do to protect Nate, but there would be consequences: two broken hearts.

There are certain people you just keeping coming back to, people you’re meant to be with. If Nate and Vanessa’s journey this year has shown us anything, it’s that they are those people for each other. No matter what lays ahead for them, you can bet it won’t be long before they find there way back to the beginning; just two beautiful people reveling in the magic of young love.

that was cute last night, I was holding my breath during that fight. but it wasn't so bad. He seems to need her to keep him honest and not a jerk. There's still something there, no doubting that.

Just watched the scenes. There is definitely still a fire there between these two. I love that they challenge each other. That they aren't afraid to be honest and tell each other the hard truths as they see it. They give each other balance and keep each other grounded. Besides, they are so hot when they fight.

I hate that the show seems to want to make us forget that they were together. It is frustrating. And all of that wasted airtime on Nate and Bree could have been spent with Nate and Vanessa. They are much more interesting.

Hated the promo for next week. Looks like we are going to be stuck with Nate/Jenny action.

Anyway I can see there is still something between these two and I don't want it to be wasted! I don't like the next week promo but I'm just happy right now because it still seems they bring the best in each other. Nate needs Vanessa and from her last scene I can see she is still into him...but maybe it's just me
