It was the video tape, Vanessa was filming their conversation, Chuck realised that, but Blair was oblivious.

What do you mean proof that he and Blair had been together?

Oh that was a video from Vanessa but he paid her 10, 000 dollars to give him the tape lol, Chuck knew Vanessa was taping him and Blair's conversation about their sex life.
