Chuck and Blair are one of those iconic couples, the type that will stand the test of time and be remembered long after they’ve left the television airwaves. Like Rhett and Scarlett, Ross and Rachel, Luke and Laura, and countless other timeless couples, they have staying power.

Even if they aren’t always together, it’s common knowledge that they will find their way back to each other in the end. Their passion will keep them fighting, both against and for each other. Their differences will keep their lives interesting. Their similarities will ensure that they will always relate to what the other is going through. To me, the pairing of Chuck and Blair is a breath of fresh air. TV, Movies, and Books have become so preoccupied with the whole "Opposites Attract" adage that that's all we see now; two people from different worlds falling in love, The "Prince Charming" and the "Good Guy" always getting the girl at the end of the day. I like Chuck and Blair because they represent everything opposite of that. They are the anti-hero and heroine. They are completely alike, but they still balance each other out. They just work, they fit. Instead of fire and ice, it's fire and fire, and it's something i've been waiting a long time to see explored in a tv show.

Chuck and Blair manage to bring out the best in each other without even trying. They know each other inside and out, and don’t have to worry about putting on a show because they have nothing to hide from each other. From the moment in the Pilot when Chuck just sipped his drink, watching Blair and clearly aware she was lying about Serena’s return, I knew this was a couple to watch out for.

The first several episodes of Gossip Girl weren't exactly appealing to me, but after "Victor,Victrola"...well, here I am. The chemistry between Chuck and Blair is undeniable-. Whereas Chuck and Blair are the two strongest personas of the show, they aren't like the average teen soap couple. Fiery and passionate, they complete each other. After all, what other couple could look that hot with clothes on?

For me I love C/B because they're not afraid to argue or challenge each other. They keep each other on their toes. Even though they're different I think they are too similar: they're both hot headed, rude, stubborn... which certaintly makes for an interesting relationship because their similarities clash with one another. I love that Chuck has a vulnerable side and he seems to show the most of it when he's with Blair and Blair really lets loose around Chuck, she's more free to open up and try new possibilities. So that's why I love them. The biterness, the adoration, the passion, the heat, the tenderness, the anger... every aspect about their relationship I love.

Chuck and Blair to me are the perfect couple because they're not perfect; they're flawed but they don't try and hide that from each other, they were never supposed to hook-up but they did and they work and despite their conflicts you know they understand each other in a way no one else can. I can't think of any TV couple who came from pretty much nowhere and have completely blown us all away. They're unpredictable.

You could watch them dance burlesque for two hours and they still wouldn't be done shedding all those clothes. More lies and veils and schemes all the time, so they can stay alive. And tomorrow is going to be hell, because nobody wants the shame of being seen, least of all these two.

But that's tomorrow: tonight, it only makes sense that they could do this so easily, and so carefully, so slowly and quickly, and so sweetly.

See them holding hands? See him asking, "Are you sure?" See the screen go grainy again while that pop-punk keeps playing, and she climbs onto him in her little nightgown, and they make love, and the film falls off the projector altogether and burns itself white.

The boy saw the comet and he felt as though his life had meaning. And when it went away, he waited his entire life for it to come back to him. It was more than just a comet because of what it brought to his life: direction, beauty, meaning. There are many who couldn't understand, and sometimes he walked among them. But even in his darkest hours, he knew in his heart that someday it would return to him, and his world would be whole again... And his belief in God and love and art would be re-awakened in his heart.
