Can I please be added to the list? I've always been intrigued by Dair but never thought any kind of relationship would form between them.

I may be stretching things a bit but shortly after Blair looks at Dan's name on her phone GG says 'sometimes a ray of sun shines in and gives us hope', and I totally felt like it was a secret mention about Dan getting Blair the internship back. I know, I know, it's very unlikely but that's the first thing I thought of when I heard it. He brightens up her day.

Yes, maybe Dan gave her hope somehow...

But man!!! It's all P/J for me these days... I'm moving along season 4 really fast, and it scares me, cause I'm not naive enough to think they'd be together through and until the end... but I'm gonna be crying like a baby whenever that something that will set them apart for a while happens...

Anyway, the actual point was that each episode I watch, and considering what friendship means in one show and the other, I think Serena could definitely survive the DB hook up just fine and even embrace it.

I get now why you guys don't like the word "soulmates" but Pacey refered of Dawson as "ex soulmate," and I think suits him better.
Either way, I think that word is just weird. While I approve of it being used as a Suliet title, the truth is that they ended up together because they forged their way towards it. They decided to be each other's "soulmate," just as I hope Dan & Blair will decide to be something... I think soulmate is too big and too small of a word at the same time... it's kinda confusing

I still wish they'll be together at the end, and they won't be the mean to take them to another destination, but there's still such a long road till it's over, I think it's better if things go slow and fine.

Dan deserves to not be taken for granted and to be supported in his own endeavors. Blair does that. She may chide him and undermine him, but she views him as a worthy adversary, often her only real competition and the past few episodes she's bitched out serena and defended dan's worth to her. She also keeps mentioning his writing and knows and pays attention to what he wants to do and accomplish. She'll give him crap if he starts to act up but she also will defend him as well.

Blair deserves for someone to make her happy, to be her equal both intellectually and powerfully and someone who can make her feel like she can be herself, but that who that girl is isn't just a scheming, sly person who is only as good as what her "destiny" is. Dan is that person for her. We've seen him empathize with her time and time again, tell her she deserves someone who makes her happy. Dan also isn't above playing her games and scheming and sabotaging - he's definitely her equal to her in that regard - but he can also challenge her intellectually and he can call her out on when a scheme won't work and is silly. He's one of the first people to act as though she's not going to end up as some society trophy wife.

They are otp. Hands down otp.

I don't use the word soul mate. I say true love. I think it works better.

Of course I think Dair are True Love.

I can try to sit back and enjoy the journey as long as the writers keep giving us this buildup. They ARE putting effort into writing for Dair, so that has to mean something. I tend to prefer couples that have the slow burn over those that are thrown together overnight, anyway. Slow and steady works for me.

Also, i came up with a game. What if we each write a sentence we would love DB to say to each other. It can either be B to D or D to B, but the next person has to start the sentence with the last letter of the previous sentence. for example, if i say:

Dan: I may hate everything about your world, but i love you.

the next person would have to start their sentence with the letter U

What do you guys think? Btw, i would DIE if dan told blair that.
