Hey everyone,

In the past few weeks, we have received a number of new thread requests. We have decided that an official policy should be instated in order to ensure fairness and to avoid crowding the board with unnecessary threads.

The rules are as follows:

1. A minimum of 15 supporters is required for individual character threads.
2. A minimum of 20 supporters is required for couple/friendship threads.
3. Any other requests will be reviewed and discussed by the mods on a thread by thread basis.

I'm confused. How do you get supporters? And do you need supporters before you can get a thread?

You need to send us a list of people who would be added to the supporters list. Basically, it's a way of proving that people will actually post in the thread. Yes, you need the supporters before we will allow the thread.

I dont fully get how this will work, compiling a list of supporters. Do you go round on the other existing threads asking about it? Or randomly PM people?

Those threads can be kept because they somewhat active. The reason for this rule is that Gossip Girl have so many guest stars this season, and we find it a little bit too much to have a thread about a character that will only be in 2, or 3 episodes. Same goes with the couples; Gossip Girl is a very shippable show, but we do have a 'UC shipper thread'. Many threads don't have that many active posters, but we still think that the threads should exist. I hope it helped with your question.

Well, if you see people who like a certain guest star or couple you can always PM them and ask if they want to be added. Like, over at the discussion board. You can ask people over there if they would like to have a - name here- thread, and if they are going to post in the thread.

Hopefully it will be no problem, because otherwise the board will be full with guest star appreciation threads.
