I've been pulling out some old school (S3) Rachel clips...she was so insightful right from the start. I love the ep when she's paired off with Lucas for that boy draft, and he's telling her how (at the time), he felt Brooke was 'the one' - I love her telling him how crazy that logic is, and maybe because they were still in H.S., he might not have even met 'the one' yet. She tells it how it is in the most awesome ways.

Yep I totally agree Anji. She always would call people on whatever they were doing wrong. I loved that whole thing about Brooke not really being the one and how he might have never even met her yet and then of course I liked when she said and how do you know Peyton isn't the one and he just really doesn't say anything

Yep, I loved how she brought up Peyton and how she heard he once had the same feelings for her, so maybe she was the one. Rachel can pretty much read anyone and she's not afraid to call them on their crap...it's rare to have someone as honest as she is and I don't think that makes her a bad person, though she's viewed as it most of the time.

ETA: Oh, another awesome Rachel moment that I love is when she and Mouth are talking in the parking-lot outside Tric, after Jimmy's been jumped by that guy inside. When Mouth asks Rachel who could have released the time capsule and look at all the pain it's caused - I love how she mentions the truth usually does that to people - seriously, this girl is beyond amazing! She's so honest.

She really has and she's there for anyone, even those who have treated her badly in the past...actually, more often than not, it happens to be those people she's there for. Ironic how that turns out.

Exactly. And to be honest, I must be one of the few that didn't like that. I mean, I loved how they were in S3, it made for a great dynamic on the show. But to have them become the best of friends seemed like the easy route to me. I guess I'm just comparing it to Valerie/Kelly from 90210...I liked how they remained at each other's heads til' Valerie left the show. I really see a lot of Valerie in Rachel, so I think that's where a lot of my mindset comes from.

I can see where your coming from Anji and I agree as much as I love BR I love them both when there fighting and in season 4. I loved that even when they were friends they still kept making catty remarks to each other
