You can get an avatar once you've reached 100 posts. Once you reach it, click on the button "User CP" and on "Edit avatar" and upload your pic.

I'm gonna close this thread now, but if you have any other questions, you don't need to start a new thread for that, you can just ask any of us at the introduction thread here or at the off-topic thread here.
