^^ I loved that scene in the IG post. It's the first time Dylan realized that he was genuinely capable of hurting her feelings.

I found it a little weird that Dylan of all people was apparently dragging Val for claiming she has no beliefs. I mean, didn't he laugh at Iris and her faith?

Well he was becoming quite fatalistic and maybe even superstitious in S5. He had all those "visions" and "dreams" which were effects of his drug and alcohol addiction, but he managed to see something supernatural and celestial in them. Signs of destiny.

Although I guess here they were talking about beliefs as principles also, not just about the faith. So Val was nihilistic and amoral, while our Dylan had such a high moral principles

I did not have an impression that he was really dragging her here, but maybe. He was such a judgemental ******* to her, in the period when he was no better than her.

No episode was worse than the cowboy episode. If it was just an alternate reality joke episode I probably could stomach it because Luke's acting is pretty good to be fair, but the idea that the arc had MEANING to it in terms of Dylan being destined to be with Kelly in such a way... No, it was just silly.

I always wished that Val and Dylan had got a significant 'goodbye' scene together when Luke left. She was the one who was there for him in season five when he basically isolated himself from everyone else. She got to understand the darker parts of him that even Brenda didn't see much of.
