Why a sad face? Dorms are not bad. It was nice to see someone from the gang in the dorms beside Andrea - although I do not get why David would live there, he was rich. Mel could have paid him a decent, that is, bigger flat.

Good observation. So beautiful. It was not easy to leave Val without words. We did not see that with the guys before.

I'm onto a re-watch of season 7, and I loved the sexy moment where David makes a deal with Valerie to buy the Peach Pit After Dark and they impulsively kiss as if no time has passed.

It's just a shame that the writers kinda ruin it by have him cry with Donna in the next episode as if Val had never been the one in the past to help him through dark times

Season 7 is not great for these two (relationship wise, they inexplicably speak about Donna as if his feelings for Valerie were never all that strong) but I do love the call-back in the finale episode to when Valerie and David were on the cliff together. I'm not pleased with how Valerie acts in this season 7 (probably her lowest point, for many reasons) but I do love how she associates her most emotional time in her letter to Brandon with when she and David
first connected.

Ah yes, her importance in his life was completely diminished after S6. I am glad he at least gave her an acknowledgement at his wedding. For saving his life and mental health.

I'm on a season 8 re-watch and they do the David/Val relationship REALLY dirty in this season

Remember when David said that he wanted to be with Val "more than anyone else in the world" in season 6? Well those words are basically shot to hell now, because Val is depicted as being more into him than the other way around (they have David irritatingly hung-up on Donna ) and the whole thing culminates in Noah being accused of rape.

David is only a great boyfriend in this situation when he thinks she's been raped - normally that would be brilliant, if only the whole thing wasn't a misunderstanding - caused by David spending too much time with Donna. I hate how poor the writing is in season 8, for just about everyone and every couple.
