I don't know. And I don't know how you guys will receive this, but I thought it was kind of amusing and cool. They basically had a rather hot/cold relationship, sometimes being a writing team while in love, other times while undergoing a bitter divorce.

They're the writers I think of most when it comes to Dylan and Kelly's episodes, lol.

Works for me. Whatever gets the angst in there.

Oh I see where you are going with that. I never really thought of that .. I don't like to think that Dy/K ended up like them though

Um, partially dead is how that couple ended up (Steve in a boating accident in '97), so Dy/K could never be that. It's likely that their own relationship had some influence. See, Jac understands.

Here's the quote:

Quote:
Darren [Star] created it but he really wasn’t there to make it the hit. He left pretty quickly. Chuck Rosin was the guy who really gave his heart and soul to it the first couple of years and really, you know, put it on the map and it really reflected Chuck’s sensibility. And then the Wassermans, Steve and Jessica Wasserman.

Steve and Jessica Wasserman [Ed. Note: also known as Jessica Klein] were his key. And then they had their own internal problems. They were a divorcing writing couple, which is not very productive, as you can imagine. So that was a disaster and then I came in in the midst of that so I became the go-to guy in season 4 and wrote with Chuck and wrote with the other influencer there, even though he didn’t have a big position, Chip Johannessen. [...] The Wassermans certainly brought a lot of heart to it and when they were together they had a wonderful sensibility but, unfortunately, I guess it’s hard to sit in a room when you hate each other.
I'm including the top portion because it confirms what I always suspected. Darren was in and then out. The real heart of the show was Charles Rosin (who we know from the grad ep commentary, especially for, like the Dy/K grad hug, respects/likes the development of Dylan/Kelly), Chip (who freaking wrote "Senior Poll"), and the Wassermans who basically wrote all their material, and we remember how excited Steve was for Luke's idea. Then there's Larry. At least for this period.

Yeah, those were always the real forces behind the couple. I've always loved how supportive they were from the start when Luke kind of put the Dy/K idea in their heads. I mean that's a huge change and they just took it and ran and really made it into something special. But I can't imagine writing with someone you're divorcing. I'm surprised they didn't kill each other.

Well, you read the full interview. You know that they made assurances to the cast that they wouldn't return as writers at some point, and put that in the actor's contracts. That's intense. And then, poetically, they were gone from the show and so was Dylan/Kelly (cause of Luke's absence).

It runs on whatever time I tell it too.

Now watching that kiss I'm thinking of Wasserman & Klein

We've got problems.

Now I want to know the first episode they wrote with the characters and the last.

That shouldn't be too hard to figure out. Of course, online information for writing seems to suck for accuracy.

EDIT: If we're to go by IMDB, it looks like "Misery Loves Company" was first as and Home is "Where the Tart is" was last as far as Dy/K interaction written by both of them. If you want interaction period, there's "Necessity as a Mother" being first.
