The tension between Val and Kelly... I always go back and forth on whether the writers drew it out for too long. I think especially in season 7, they should have just compromised when Kelly got back with Brandon but then that crap with Kelly's dad happened and it ruined things again.
At least in season 6, the tension made sense because of Colin and his history with Val  __________________

Esma, that's an important comparison Kelly made of Colin to Dylan. Someone who's not good for her in a relationship but she keeps running back to like an addiction

I always preferred Bobby and Pam
  JR and Sue-Ellen were definitely intriguing, but he treated her so awfully that it was hard to really get on board with them. I liked her better with Pam's brother, Cliff. As for the Colin thing in 90210, his whole story-arc was very confusing.  It always felt as if the writers initially intended him to be a one-time lover on the plane ride in the first episode of this season, but then they liked the actor and so kept him on and extended this whole artistic stuff as a way to lead into the drugs thing. __________________

I thought Colin was an interesting character. I know some people like Joe but to me he was a yawn fest
