Season 5 Appreciation/Discussion Thread #2
I know i've started the last two season threads, but I thought I would just try to start the rest of the ones that there aren't threads for. Season 5 is great season in my opinion. I thought there was a lot going on and it had a lot of good episodes.

Thanks for starting. I remember being so glad that Brandon and Kelly were finally together.

I enjoyed S5 for many reasons:
1 BK moments 2. Dylan and Valerie 3. Kelly in fire 4. Valerie plus Val/Kelly moments 5. Emily Valentine __________________

I liked seeing Kelly at the Walsh house during the premiere -- something we really should've seen more of. I wish the writers had just moved Kelly into Brenda's room and focused on that family unit. But they were probably uncertain about B/K's future.

Moving Kelly to stay in Brenda's room would be great but S5 wasnt the right time for Kelly for several reasons. Donna just broke up with David and she'll be lonely without Kelly, even with Clare there. Also, it was a new relationship and Kelly was probably afraid that moving in together would hurt them after living with Dylan in s4 for a few episodes.

What I mean is I wish she'd moved in at the start. And it's not really Kelly's job to live with Donna through all that annoying Donna/David drama. I think that just being friends would've sufficed. I do wish that the writers had developed the Kelly/Clare relationship more.

Oh ok. Thanks. I don't think it would've been realistic for Kelly to move in with Brenda at the very beginning given she was living with her mom. But she living in Brenda's room in s4 when Brenda moved to Minnesota would've been logical.

Well, I can see both points of you (James and Rachel). I think it would be better if Kelly moved into the Walsh household probably mid-S5 (not right at the beginning though)

Sounds like we're all confusing each other. I think it would've been nice if Kelly had moved in with the Walsh family at the start of S5. No Valerie. Some of you feel differently. Cool. I understand that there may be reasons for not doing this, but it would've been interesting IMO, given her closeness to everyone.
And while I was always kind of indifferent to Kelly's friendships with Donna and Brenda, I probably would've liked a stronger Kelly/Clare bond. I think their personalities would've made it fun. |

I would've been ok without Val. I think Kelly would've been welcomed and loved by everyone in that house.

It would be interesting to see Kelly move in straight away if Val wasn't around. Jim and Cindy treats her like a daughter - in fact I think Jim and Cindy preferred Kelly the most of all the girls Brandon been with...I can tell they wasn't too keen on Emily though

Oh, I have no doubt that they prefer Kelly over any other girl. I still remember their wedding toast to BK. It was pretty much one of the only highlights in that episode.
