I think at this point when he graduated in HS is when I really liked Steve. He grew up to become a responsible adult in later years. Bear in mind, he had parental issues as well like Dylan. He partied hard, was quite neglected as a child but at least he did something in his life - he didn't brood and become very negative like Dylan. He set up his life with Janet, got married and had a child. That's why I respect Steve a lot more than Dylan (sorry Dylan fans). Steve was also very funny too, and a good friend to Brandon mainly. I will say in the first 2 seasons, he was a bit of a idiot but his character really grown on me and ended up being my second favorite character on the show after Brandon. And his friendship with Brandon is the best on the show IMO
