I was mostly put-off by what I did see, but still happy that people cared to make additional homages in some form.

What's going to be interesting (a bit of a challenge?) is that this is all about poking fun at backstage drama and hookups, but Luke and Shannen aren't there/regulars, which really limits them re: playing with triangles and also generally. Maybe they'll have to be more creative.

Maybe, I don't know. I won't watch without them, that's for sure. I am sort of supportive of the non-reboot because I like seeing the cast together, but I'm not interested in watching much without these two.

It just occurred to me that when rumors started last year that Tori and Jennie might be doing something similar to 90210 but playing exaggerated versions of themselves we all thought it would be exaggerated versions of their characters. But apparently we were supposed to take it literally - they will be playing exaggerated versions of THEMSELVES.

Lol, yep. And I was really not liking the news of another Tori/Jennie project. Not after "Mystery Girls", which I still watched, in a state of perma-cringe.

So I will watch, regardless. But actually, you know what?! What they should totally do is pepper this mock/meta reboot with real life unaired behind-the-scenes footage! All the stuff from the pre-digital age they've been sitting on. Whether FOX or CBS or Paramount owns it now. New material serving exactly the right audience and purpose. It's a win, win, win. And when else would it be fit to air?

Yes, that's a good idea. I guess that Fox owns it, and they do then non-reboot too, so it sounds doable.

If I'm brutally honest, it'll be a waste of my valuable time and many others too. I don't see the point of doing this so-called reboot and if they are playing heightened versions of themselves I would say "Lord Have Mercy"

Thanks for all the links! Right, only 6 episodes. Let's see, maybe I'll give it a chance. But I don't think so. With the cast at the moment, it also feels a bit like S7-8 to me, and I was not a fan.

Somehow, not playing the original characters could actually get me more interested. I am sure I would care more when they screw up with the original characters, than it will when they screw up with this thing
