i really wish we´d gotten to see more of Dylan coping with her death
and everything he left kinda fast but i guess he just couldnt deal being
there without her

Oh ... yeah, if there was any time and reason to finally get the heck outta Beverly Hills (he always seemed to have a love/hate relationship with L.A.), then that was it.

I think S9 was supposed to be him still coping with her death. Hey, even in S10, he admits to the priest for S/J's wedding that he hasn't allowed himself to open up yet. But yeah, I would have loved to see more of the immediate aftermath. He only said goodbye to Brandon, even, and only after being caught on his way out already. Nothing like this to put Dy straight back into isolation.

Season nine he is very much still dealing with Antonia's death and a good part of that reason is because he never got closure. He left so fast, he went back to drugs because of her death, he didn't know how to deal with her passing and it's good to see that this time around with drugs his friends stick by and help him...though Matt was a real jerk about it from what I remember. (I havent watched that storyline in a little while) but then in season ten he does admitt to the priest or well the priest points out to him that he shut down after Antonia died. He couldn't open up to women after she died, hence why he was that way to Gina, he refused to let her get close to get to know her and the same with Kelly. He was scared to death and who could blame him? Had we seen what happened right after Antonia's death and it would have been cool to see I'm sure there would have been a lot of anger. That's really what I picture the best is his anger that the one person he thought he could count on for the rest of his life was taken from him. If you really think about it, everything for him never lasted. It always went away, the things that meant most to him. Jack, Kelly, etc, the people he wanted to hold onto never stayed and I think Dylan finally thought he found the one person ; the one life that would stick all for him to lose it. Dylan was alone again and when he returned to the show he wanted to keep it that way or so he thought, but deep down beyond his depression was still that same person that was on the search to find someone who could love him unconditionally.

Or: Yes, that's exactly where all my emotion came from for his last S6 episode. And it's no coincidence that their wedding song, played over after her death, was Lyle Lovett's, "Nobody Knows Me".

The song fit perfectly for how he felt, he didn't think anyone knew him inside out or that anyone wanted to know him deeply. He was angry for awhile season six until Antoina gets him to drop the revenge and then you see a gentle happy side of Dylan that you never see before or again on the show unfortunatly. I'm not saying he was never happy in the past because he was, there were times when his life was on track and there were times where he was happy. But with Antonia he seemed almost chipper, I got a very different vibe from him that I didn't sense before. He had a lot of problems going on with Antonia with her father, but he still was able to be purly happy with her. Everything about him was pure for a change, all that was on his mind was that he was in love and with the person who knew him the best and wanted to know him that way. So she gets taken from him and he loses that and I think it's only natural that that same anger would come back.

I'm surprised he even survived that kind of grief, cause he didn't get a chance to keep that peace of mind for long at all, and he had been starving for it. They definitely had a pure love. I know that could sound crazy considering all the Marchette/Jack strings attached and his original motive for pursuing her, but the thing is that, together, they chose to forsake all this and fully dedicate themselves to something real and nurturing that would free them both.

I agree the fact that they chose to do that goes to prove it was pure, they both chose to overlook something huge, to just love each other and to forget their past. That's about as pure as it gets hahaha.
