Annie and Dixon have a close sibling relationship, which they'll need to help them cope with all the new cliques and classmates, including Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord, "Nip/Tuck"), a hot, spoiled, rich girl; Ethan (Dustin Milligan, "Runaway"), a popular jock whose abilities rival Dixon's; Navid (Michael Steger, "The Winner"), an aspiring reporter who heads up the school's daily newscast; and Silver (Jessica Stroup, "Prom Night"), a rebel who produces and stars in a YouTube-type video series. Even the faculty seems hip and sophisticated at WBHHS, such as smart and funny teacher Ryan Matthews (Ryan Eggold, "Dirt") and beautiful guidance counselor Kelly Taylor (guest star Jennie Garth, the original "Beverly Hills, 90210"). The Mills family has just begun to realize how much their lives are about to change. 90210 is produced by CBS Paramount Network Television with executive producers Gabe Sachs & Jeff Judah ("Freaks & Geeks"). Mark Piznarski ("Gossip Girl") is the director and executive producer of the pilot.

I'm a tough critic. It wasn't 90210, but I'll probably tune in next week to see it develop a bit more.

TFTNT.

I really did like the show, I think. It was definitely more dramedy than drama, so I liked that.

They cut the parts of the Kelly/Brenda/Ryan scene that would have hinted at a triangle (that we saw in previews and spoilers) so that's out apparently. And I'm relieved. I didn't want another triangle for the girls.

I liked it, but it was hard to get into the new kids, so I donno, if Shannen leaves after four episodes then chances are I won't watch it. BUT if Shannen stays then I'll probably continue

But I gotta say: I loved what I read about Brenda/Kelly scenes...I'm so looking forward to see their reunion...and friendship again!

I agree,Amy, it is hard to get into the new kids. I still don't know the names of San Francisco guy and black hair with bangs girl. LOL.

I kind of got into the new kids. Not as much as the originals, but I enjoyed it all, really.

If SD leaves, I probably will just abandon the show. I watched the first 80 minutes in eager anticipation for Brenda. When she didn't show up, I tuned out. The new characters aren't that interesting and the storylines are, for the most part, contrived. Also, I think they are trying to recreate what BH 90210 was back in the day, and I just don't see them succeeding. BH90210 was groundbreaking, and this show seems to be more of the same in a genre that has several other alternatives now. I think they wanted them to be fashion forward and trendy, but I just didn't see it tonight.

Yeah, they wanted to make it the modern day Beverly Hills 90210 and I just didn't see that. I would have liked to see them do a spin off where it was the kids of the origional cast (Maddie, NHannah, BK's Hockey team of kids, etc) goinmg through life and taking after their parents.
