I was looking at the edits from S4 that bellasposa put up and they're actually a similar length to the ones we're making in S10, so actually Dy/K wasn't 50 times heavier in S3/S4/S5, even though that's how it feels ... because the show was so good then, as were their storylines, and they were together for most of it. |
They do feel like there is much more Dy/K scenes in those seasons, especially S3 - 5  but you bring up a good point, better storylines
It does feel like more. With the exception of the storyline with Dylan's father in season ten. Those episodes feel like they were all Dy/K. But they did have great storylines in 3-5. Those seasons are just so centered on them in a lot of ways.
Those episodes were all Dy/K-oriented, but Jack was only back for 3 of them. I know. Feels like forever. The thing is, I don't know how many of you remember, but when S10 aired there were a ton of breaks, like for baseball season, long holidays, etc., and program's episode amounts just getting shorter. So that might have effectively been like a 5+week wait. LOL. And I was sure they'd fall right into each other's arms (which technically they did :P), so there was a lot of rumination to be had.

That year is kind of a blur for me, so I don't really remember how the wait was. I'm sure it was excruiating, because I was so into the show at that point, and I was so into Dy/K. Hmmm....I can check to see when they actually aired. I ain't got nothing better to do. :P
EDIT: Nope, those were three consecutive weeks on those episodes. |
To remember a wait 8-9 years later is an amazing thing. The impact this couple has on me will never fade. :D
Yeah, they must have impacted you more or something. I was busy being a less-than-stellar high school senior around that time, so I guess my attentions were split. :P Dy/K always had my Wednesday nights, though.
 Well when I started watching it was late S5/S6 and I wanted to see Dy/K properly together for so long and I was so glad it finally happened .. four years later :lmao:
I dropped Dylan and Kelly for college (once the finale aired) cause I was afraid they actually would drag down my GPA. :lmao: I was a little Andrea Zuckerman back in the day, but nothing shot up my adrenaline like 90210/this couple. 18 years! It's been 18 years. And 16 since these two first hooked up.
It was a looooooooooong wait. My experience was a little skewed. I started watching in '96, but only the season 3 reruns at first. I fell in love with Dy/K immediately, of course. Then I picked up the new episodes as they came along, so I was watching the old and the new at the same time. Now that I think about it, it's amazing that I even have a clear timeline in my head of how the show goes. Of course, when you watch the episodes dozens of times, you kind of get things down. VCRs are awesome! I do remember wanting Dy/K back together so bad in seasons nine and ten that I could hardly stand it, though. It was torture.
I know. I think I'm still going through it since we didn't get to see them really back together, even though it's implied that they finally make it. Forever. :in_love:
btw, nice title;)

Post some caps, Courtney. :)
Season 11 would have been all about the Dy/K wedding. And the first kid. And lots of painting.
EDIT: Yes! Me likey caps! |
:lmao:
I love how the first thing I read when I finally come into this thread is about painting in season 11! |
