I actually took that scene and cut out all the parts where there was dialogue to see how it would feel with just their glances and body language doing the acting. Conclusion: They don't even need lines. It's all there. Apology, acceptance, flirtation ... I get the drift.

What do you mean, 'huh'? There are descriptors outside of the actual dialogue that specify actions and, to a small degree, talk about character's feelings.
